There are a few brokers on here that can get you into a Ram for about the same price as the Tundra’s. I’m holding out hope some incentives will be back or at least some discounts by May as that is when my current Tundra lease is up. It’s a tough pill for me to swallow because of how stupid cheap my current Tundra lease is.
Not sure this is where I put this but I’ve been trying to use the calculator to check the numbers the dealer gave me on the truck they sold but I can’t seem to make it match:
Selling price was 48,775, there was a dealer add of $1495 (so I made the selling price 50,270) and a $1500 cash back and $500 lease conquest.
But their payment came out to 596.58+tax (642.81) and the calculator’s is higher. What did I miss?
Really hard to say without their actual numbers available for comparison
Everything else is filled out in the link:
MF: .00102
RV: 59%
They show the initial cap cost as 47,275 to reflect a $1500 discount but then they also have the $1495 as another line item and then a $2000 as a rebate.
Luckily, this is one of the few dealers I’ve dealt with who actually sends me the numbers:
Hmmm… it looks like they are adding first month payment and bank fee into the cap cost.to do a zero drive off? Can’t seem to math this out.
Edit: Wrong image.
Well, to start with, your calculator is for a 39 month lease with a 59% rv and their numbers are for a 36 month lease with a 61% residual
Oops. Uploaded wrong image. I was working a 36 to see how the numbers would change.
Are you sure about that? It looks like they have the selling price at $47275. If you change your calculator to that and 0 das, it’s within $1
I tried that but didn’t know where to put the DuPont $1495. So based on that, it seems like there is a discounted $1500 off MSRP (which is basically negated by the DuPont) and then the additional bonus cash of $1500 and $500… which is $3500 discount total?
Thanks.
Incentives aren’t discounts
$1500 discount and then $1495 add on basically puts the selling price back at msrp and then you have the $2k in incentives
Thanks. That really helped with the calculator because I couldn’t get close to what they were showing me.
Seems like an okay deal I missed out on. Maybe once the supply chain works out, there will be similar or better deals (although the sales guys keep telling me 2024).
I decided to go with a 2022 Silverado LT 1500 similar to the same deal I posted above.
Was it good? Probably not, but it had the stuff I was interested in and it was very hard for me to find this specific configuration. The only thing I didn’t get was the Multiflex tailgate and bigger wheels… but… since this is a lease… I’m hoping I can trade in 2 years once the 2022 refresh has all the kinks worked out for the 2023 model… or by then, some EV truck will be out (which I doubt will have enough production until 2025).
The only one that was in the running was the Ram 1500, but the Big Horn trim (cheaper than the LT) didn’t have some of the features I wanted. I didn’t even consider the Tundra due to the MPG.
Just money-wise, Toyota Financial probably has the “better” deals if you’re paying MSRP on a Tundra. The Ram 1500s have quite a few bonus cash deals right now and I would have really done one if not for the feature set I wanted (everyone is different)… and I have this issue with rotary dial gear shifters.
I just couldn’t find an F-150 configured to how I want which is maybe because they sell so many?
Good luck to anyone else looking for a full size truck… now I’m off to some truck accessory forum (if one exists) to buy stuff I shouldn’t be buying for a leased vehicle.
I want a 4x4 Tundra, SR5 trim, premium, convenience, level kit, and other packages I don’t care for but its ok if there.
MSRP or less, I can put MSDS down. Who do I find that can help. Need the truck before April.
@Jrouleau426 is on the east coast but it seems he’s got some on the west coast as well
Since there’s a lot of people on this thread who may be looking. Ram is offering a $1000 incentive when you build a truck and scroll all the way to the bottom. Have been able to reproduce it pretty consistently in the PNW with incognito. Works towards both purchases and leases and I believe stacks with other incentives.
I’m in FL, that works. Oh I think I talked to him on FB already LOL. DIdn’t click yet haha. James / Jim.
TY.
Since I see this come up on the Frontier thread, best full sized truck deals right now are Tundras and Rams.
Tundras because even with the markups, has a high residual but hard to find.
Rams due to available inventory and incentives (most I see are at or below MSRP).
At least this is the case in SoCal.

What’s the lease payment on one of those
Sorry… missed this question.
Best bet is to hit up one of the brokers here. I think they trade at MSRP but there isn’t a really good GM lease program for them right now.
I think the Custom trim goes for about ~$450/mo 36/10k $0 DAS but that doesn’t have the new interior.
I would imagine a base LT would be around $550 or more?
