My search is over. Picked up the last Scat Pack yesterday. As someone who has been fortunate to own many cars in my lifetime (sports, luxury or otherwise) I have to say, I don’t see the issues reviewers are having. Should it be this expensive? Probably not. Otherwise, I’m really enjoying the car. It’s a fantastic cruiser, brutally fast (the EV fast thing is just standard nowaday) and I really love everything it has (sound system is fantastic). I got so many looks yesterday and even caught the DoorDash guy taking pictures of it.
It did randomly go into turtle mode. I had driven over 200 miles, the another 100 miles and was messing around with my parents with different modes and exhaust sound - boom, turtle mode. It was so weird. I turned the exhaust off and it didn’t happen again.
Otherwise, really enjoying the experience.

Congratulations. What kind of deal did you get?

You see, this is what scares me about these cars. I’ve never had a fault mode in over a year with our Lucid.
The Lucid doesn’t make really loud noises that satisfy my juvenile senses.
Nice!
Regarding the price, I’m not sure where that concern is coming from (reviews, I know). Stellantis finance, dealership and local/state fees/taxes are a large part of my lease cost.
It’s those pedestrian Civic, CR-V and Camry leases people should be complaining about. Or not. To each their own. (amiright? Once again, probably not)
Now insurance, on the other hand…
Just a quick update. They say this story is due to something that happened at graduation but this took place shortly after I took the pictures of my Charger in the parking lot. Coincidence?
It was weird considering the distance traveled, the different scenarios we put it through. I didn’t ever use the exhaust sound. Not that I’m a hater, but I do prefer the solace of no noise (unless it’s a truly fantastic engine). The moment I started messing with that and drive settings it went into turtle mode. I was like what the? It didn’t happen again.
So, this is complicated because of the incredible amount of negative equity we had going into it. It was priced at 82k and monthly ended up being like 740 for first month’s down. It reduced out monthly overhead, got me into a lease (where I need to be) and gave me a capable sports car.
Honestly, first impressions are incredibly high. My family loves it. The wife was scared of all my sports cars but loves this one. It doesn’t really feel its size. Sure, it does in corners but most complaints I’ve seen are entirely exaggerated (or updates have happened). I feel like the brakes and accelerator are easy to modulate (brakes are incredibly impressive). The suspension adjustment is entirely noticeable. I’ve come from a long line of sports cars, luxury cars and econo crap boxes. The hate isn’t warranted and every Charger/Challenger owner I’ve passed has flashed their lights, thumbs up or head nodded me.
Interior is solid. Sound system is great (again, I’m deaf so I hear the beats well but the lyrics are usually muffled dog noises to me). The ambient lighting is awesome. The UI is solid. Not the best and certainly not the worst (I put it above the UI in the Blazer EV as well).
The speed is immense. The large tires in the back help it lock down and it just goes. Far better than like an I4 M50 or something. It definitely feels like you could track/drag it all over.
It was definitely worth the wait. I just hope it remains issue free. I think if you can net one for under 400 a month, it’s entirely worth it.
/my two cents

Does your car have all the latest software updates completed?
How much negative equity did you roll into the deal ?
Weird question. How are the headlights? The ones on the GC 4xe are good, and I like the auto high beams, since my night vision isn’t the best. I finally convinced my mom to get a new car. She had a Dodge Journey that I swear had single candle power headlights.
I am new here and I am very thankful for this information. I wanted to see if your contract was on the signed? I have a dealer in Miami that told me any deal in America they could beat or match or he would give me $10k all I need was the actual deal (with personal information blacked out but mainly the main numbers and they would honor it. This is for the wagoneer s and Daytona.
However, I am still reading everything and trying to learn. I appreciate all you are posting.
I’d be very surprised if they honor that promise but here it is. Programs and incentives have changed since April so you need to keep that in mind.

At any point did they check to see what incentives/offers you’re eligible for?
I know this is about the Daytona but below is how we got to needing the deal to get them to match.
So they haven’t told me except the:
$7500 tax credit
And Employee pricing which is $6k off MSRP.
So we have been talking for about a week. And yesterday we went in and they offered $380/month 10k/36months $0DAS. 2025 Wagoneer s limited.
Then for the loaner $350/month same terms.
Then he said if you can get me a deal that is better we will beat. Even if it’s a dollar. Now they have a lot of 2025. And 1 2024 left. So hoping they match the 2024 and we will be good.
However, we are attempting to get a second lease from the same dealership. The Dodge Challenger R/T or scat (but the range isn’t great on the SCAT) and their first offer was around $350 for 10k/36 $0DAS. So with this hopefully the match or gives us the $10k.
They are a new dealer and have to move inventory.
We also are trading in a lease 1 year early 2024 Honda HRV sport black on black. And there is some equity on it currently and the demand is through the roof for this SUV apparently.
