The line forms behind me
This doesn’t surprise me that @jeisensc and the @wagonbonerz band would be at the front of the line! #harvestseason
Nice, even more weight. This thing is going to weigh near an Escalade.
I’d take the much lighter and most likely better looking RS6 wagon.
After spending some time with the new G60 530, I just hope this is nothing like it. Heavy, ugly, and totally unintuitive. Fingers crossed for the best.
I can’t see how this isn’t going to tip scales at 5k+lbs though.
G90 Sedan weight is 2435kg or 5,357lbs. Touring will add 100kg+. It will weigh about what an Escalade 6.2L weighs.
I am bummed E53 wagon isn’t coming to US.
I really don’t like the G60 chassis yet. Maybe it will grow on me but I might just get W213 E63 wagon or RS6
Sedan curb weight is 4,041 lbs
Not the G90. 1,000lbs+ over the outgoing F90.
Bery nice - all a man could want in a car
Fast
Great handling
Boot space
Road presence
Question is how much? Looking at RS6 - they run at $2k/mo - still a very nice car
I haven’t seen the M5 wagon, of course, but I’ve seen a few RS6 wagons, and I actually don’t love it. Too wide and aggressive looking. And it’s also very long, so it ends up looking really cartoon-y.
Don’t like the Taycan Cross Turismo for the same reason (except for the length part).
Having said that, I’m glad the M5 wagon is coming over. I do wish that auto makes would offer more "regular wagons (eg., 3-Series or C-Class), but I understand why they don’t.
Didn’t realize G90 weight was out…
WOW.
I hate the lack of sidewall on the rs6
Those are unattributed rumors AFAIK. C/D is saying +440 lbs over the outgoing M5
6000lbs is the magic number
Don’t really need to go out on a limb to assume very few LHers will buy/lease a M5 touring/estate/avant with the likely minimum $150k price tag but it is fun to talk about. Same as it is with the RS6 and the E63 estates - fun to talk about but very few will spend or have the money for a $150+k wagon when other choices are out there at that price.
If MB, Audi and BMW had the smart money in play they would bring the current c63es AMG wagon (or by way of time machine the old time W204 c63 AMG wagon - see below), the M3 wagon (touring) or the RS4 Wagon (avant). Many more people would spend +/- $100k for a tossable and fast rocket wagon that realistically can be tracked than they would $150k for a heavy, made for the straights beast.
It is hard to beat any kind of V8 though, hybrid or not, but the hybrid-electric scenario has kind of ruined it for a lot of people. If you can find the Jonny Lieberman c63 wagon review watch it for sure, but I think it is now on pay per view with YouTube via Max as an Ignition episode. The Chris Harris farewell to the W204 C63 wagon is a close second.

non-wagon but you get the point:
Distinctly out on any and all wagons. If you want a sports car get a sports car. If you want a mom suv get a mom suv
Wagons are not for everybody, but none of the sedan versions of those wagons are considered sports cars and wagons are not SUVs. The two door models of the C and M are not even “sports cars” anyway even though that term means next to nothing now.
Plenty of those wagons and what might be considered a “Mom SUV” now would blow the doors off and run circles around what many might feel is a “sports car” as well.
