This was exactly my point. Everyone’s like, “oh this is the last year they’re making this car” - HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW ONE??? lol. I’ve owned the first G30 M550 in Michigan… it’s the same chassis. Clunky and heavy as hell. Without a heavy incentive this car isn’t worth it, if it’s not feasible, it is what it is - plenty of others to choose from.
In sales myself for 20 years. I know.lol
Yes . That was crazy deal but 10 msds and 4k down makes it 16k due at signing.
Ya I know, the DAS was ridiculous. I’m ok with the higher MF without MSDs (not that I can invest the money better, but just because I prefer liquidity). You’re still looking at $1100 instead of $1000 w/o MSDs as opposed to $1500… for same MSRP vehicle.
You wanted to say TLC plates( run) these the worst and biggest a$$hole drivers. Driving like j$$offs and stoping anywhere they want in the middle of the street.
I wanted that deal since I love S8 even though I am bimmer guy but after calculations it came out to $1180 with NY tax and 16 das for demo. Not really how much I wantes to spend but the car is sick, especially if it was right color combo
That’s because they are all Uber drivers
I haven’t looked at BMW since pre-pandemic but 15% was attainable for M5s during quarter-ends. I suggest waiting until mid-June to make that push. Good luck!
Alright, in that context I get it. I was in sales for a while ( not cars ) and something came back $39 higher on a ~ $5,000 transaction and the Mrs called from relatively expensive house for the area wanted to know what was going on with the $39. While I get her point, many of these thing could be avoided with a more transparent process. I also understand your $5-$10 thing and it annoying a customer. If it is $5-$10, fine, however at a dealership $5-$10 can then turn into nitrogen and pulsing brake light for $200 and $600.
I always enjoyed the story ( I think on here ) where someone brought a compressor to the dealer, when the dealer said we already put nitrogen in the tires and the customer stated, we’ll have them take it out, I brought my compressor to fill the tires with air.
Yo, imma need you to tell me where that extra $2.78 came from in my lease contract.
Hey, how come I never got my dealer survey email?!
How are you extending 4 months on your lease? I thought BMW only adds a one month extension max.
So why are you even bothering these dealers if even if your target deal is only a maybe?
This is what gives all of us a harder time hunting, any time I go and make an offer on a car, I make it clear I’m ready to commit if they say yes to the deal I outlined, but you’re suggesting here that even if they reached 15%, it would still take some deciding on your part. I have never once sent an offer and then said no if the dealer met the offer, or said I needed time to think, etc.
It’s usually 2 months without a production number, up to 6 with it, but those rules are flexible and depend on who you get on the phone, your loyalty to the brand I would imagine also helps. 6 months is the legal max before re-contracting must occur, but BMWFS can go up to 6 months, if they want.
M5 too heavy, solution must obviously be an S8?
Add a Highlander, Rav4, Prius or literally any other black Toyota to that list.
The correct way to identify them is bottom feeders. And I’ll admit, I have been guilty of this from time to time. Truly a mental thing.
The usual suspects on this forum who make a habit of poo-pooing threads for which they have no active participation in other than to inject their negativity. If you know little here, you’re attacked. If you know too much and want to engage, you’re attacked. It seems that unless you are leasing through them, the usual suspects want to take you down.
No doubt and I used to be that way too until I realized it’s much better to spend my time doing other things and walking out with everyone being happy and smiling
I didn’t reach 28% by asking for it. I started at 18 and worked my way up by pegging dealers against each other. You have relationships with dealerships where you strike deals because you’ve crafted those relationships over time and this is your competitive advantage. I don’t have that, my approach starts where I have a feeling I can get some quotes, even lease agreements, and then negotiate from there.
I don’t see how this makes it more difficult for you to find deals. Apples and bananas
Every community of people with a common goal eventually devolves to infighting about the correct way to achieve that goal. Do what works for you, and let other people do what works for them
