Tire and wheel for $43 is steeeeep - would look into cancelling that. If itās already signed not sure what else can be done, but Iād reach out to the broker.

Getting the drift that Iām not the first they did dirty. Iām really hoping this broker does right. First time using one and already have a bad taste in my mouth.
This is something completely different/sinister ie bait and switch.
But agree with some of the posts that this should be sorted out ASAP. Hold your broker up to a better standard. Refunding their fee is not enough tbh. But itās the least they should do even if this gets sorted out.
Did your wife actually sign off on and realize she was getting the tire and wheel?
Is it possible she opted for tire and wheel in the business office while signing?
I say that because while the fundamentals of your brokerās job is to assure an agreed upon sale price or structure (eg $699/mo $3,000 down) that only goes as far as the buyer adding protection products voluntarily in the business office that were not previously requested and accounted for.
The marked up mf here unfortunately points to a lot more going on than just tire and wheel being added.
Definitely something to take issue with if thereās not a corresponding drop in sale price to mitigate the rate markup.
Yes. Tire and wheel were added at the dealer. Had nothing to do with the broker. It was an added $43 month. Though everyone is telling me that was marked up as well (not the brokers fault).
Dealers routinely markup tire and wheel, as long as the sale price for the coverage was disclosed I see no foul there.
The rate markup should absolutely be accounted for though unless mitigated by front end gross reduction.
Shockingly f&i doesnāt like selling products at cost.
Considering the deal here is almost $4k higher than whats shown in the calculator, with only $1500ish of it accounted for in the tire and wheel package, it sounds like there definitely isnt a commensurate discount for the marked up mf.

youāre aware that several prominent brokers on this forum have done this for years, right? they have other people do their work for them.
that said, the answer here is that the calculator OP was provided had the wrong rv and mf. if adjusted to the correct rv and mf and adding the $43/month of tire and wheel, the OPs signed monthly payment checks out. however, the dealer appears to have added another $1k to the DAS + added phony loyalty.
I donāt know how itās with Volvo but with Lexus you can get out of these protection packages as long as you request in writing within 30 days. You keep the same monthly payment but they send you a check for the package.
