2018 Kia Stinger GT2 AWD

The second test deals with the 2L versions of all cars.

Have you looked specifically at the Q50 Redsport? 400hp is hard to complain about.

Also, if you’re waiting until the summer, G70 would be something to look at.

Yes, both good points; originally I thought the Q50 RS would be above my price target, but after seeing this forum that may not be the case. Don’t really like the 39 month Infiniti leases (so long) but would consider.

Just so you guys know, I negotiated a Stinger GT2 (MSRP:$52,350) last month for $535 sign and drive 36/10. It seems like the lowest they’ll go on the selling price of the car is around $46,500 before the $6700 lease cash. So use that as a guideline

That is just ridiculous. It has a KIA badge on the front!!

Yeah you’re right. We should all drive Mercedes CLAs

I just pm’d you to find out where you received that deal. I’m looking for a Q50 RS now. I was also considering the Stinger, but like all new models that are hot, they’re still pricey at this point. This time next year the lease incentives will likely be excellent on the Stinger.

Have stinger deals gotten any better?

My local dealer has had one for over 6 months that is base awd, curious how much you guys think I can get off the sale price.

Shoot for 10% off sticker. Then get them to do the $5400 lease cash offer.

Best quote I have gotten is $3300 off MSRP plus lease incentive. RWD GT2.

Here’s an ad from Battlegound Kia in North Carolina, does Lease Price mean translate to 17% off MSRP? I’m still learning here…

Looks shady. $52350 looks like the MSRP (I think $52300 is the MSRP for GT2 AWD no added dealer installed options). Don’t even think there are enough dealer installed options on the Stinger to get to $55345. “Retail price” is a made up number inflated above MSRP to make people think they’re getting a great deal!

“Lease price” is after lease cash (maybe military discount too, I’ve seen that included in ads elsewhere) and the dealer discount. That offer equates to $49,655 pre-incentive price (assuming $6500 lease cash, not sure what it is in NC region) on a $52300 MSRP. Not a great deal. As a data point, I had an offer for $47,731 pre-incentive price at my local dealership on a GT2 AWD.

Lol, how nice of them to knock 2995 of off the “Retail Price”. The cars MSRP is 52350. Get all the numbers first before you walk into the dealership…

$500 before tax is not bad for this model, but it is no deal, that’s for sure.

Right! Just checked with another dealer closer to me (Wisconsin) with the same numbers on the car for a 36/12, zero down. Here’s the email I just got (with 800+ credit score, no military discount).

Here are your lease numbers on the Stinger GT2. With $1,000 (that includes first payment and DMV fees) your payment is $770.06

It looks like my goal of scoring on a GT2 or a G80 sport are pretty bad for now.

$770?!? You should be able to get it around $580 plus tax. In Indiana, my payment would have been $621 w/ 7% tax, 0 down.

Still expensive though, and why I ended up passing on the Stinger (at least for now).

Edit: My numbers are for 10k, not 12k. I think the extra 2k should add around $10-15/mo pre-tax

I know, it’s ridiculous. I was really hoping to have one for summer, but the way it’s looking I’m going to have to wait it out. No way is this thing worth $600, maybe in a month or two I’ll have to just buy a used one and be done with it if things don’t loosen up a little on these.

I just got one red RWD. Rebate of 6200, 36 months, 20k miles/year, 5k down (including all the fees, reg, 1st month and all the rest to drive off) for 670 per month (tax included, CA).
Is it good?

Effective monthly you are paying is ~ $800. If you are happy with the car, great, but $800 a month can get you a lot of car elsewhere. These simply just don’t lease well.

well I understand. but its 20k miles per year. I looked at Audi too. under the same exact conditions to lease a new A5 fully loaded (basically same price of the Stinger) was 100 dollars more.
I mean, I could not find another car with the same level of equipment and similar engine that could go for less. I understand people says you could lease a Merc/Audi/Bmw for $600, but then it is the basic model and not even close to the optionals the Stinger has.
This car has everything, and looks amazing. yea, it is a bit similar to other cars, but jeee is fun to drive

You can probably get two Guilias for $800/month…
