If you spend some time on here you will see what others would consider a good deal. People are routinely getting 340i, s4, etc for less than $600/mo (with some much lower than that). There is a recent 640i GC in the marketplace less than $700. $800 is getting you into M car/entry AMG territory.
Like I said, if you are happy with the car enjoy it! Not many others on this board will think it’s the best for the cost, but you are the one driving it at the end of the day
well I am sorry but that’s not true or reserved to them. I have been reading a lot here, and the price reported are not even a bit closer to what I have been quoted by Audi, Bmw, Merc and other 4-5 ‘less prestigious’ brands.
those prices are generally for less than 10k miles per year. I said in my first post that I need 20k miles per year, and to get a car with this engine and optionals at that mileage per year was practically impossible. Only Mazda and Toyota were able to beat it but just of a tiny bit. The prices I wrote are all with tax (CA), fees and bulls…t included.
2 Giulias for 800 dollars per months with 20k miles per year is simply not real.
This is a great car, but you are not going to get much love on the forum over your lease deal. There are just too many other value options to compete against.
I understand and respect that. My problem is I could not find one in real life. I wanted V6 with 4 actual seats with loads of techy options inside. The real Audi comparison is the S5, off course a better car, but way more expensive. Same goes with BMW and Merc. I read what people said here and their opinion of the car, but those numbers were not even closely proposed to me. Let’s forget what the car is and simply consider it is a car with $50k MSRP
Your lease is practically what it would cost to finance the car. The Stinger is a good car but it doesn’t lease well, and with you needing 20k miles most people here would probably say financing is a better option for you.
If you could present the sale price after discounts and the MF then maybe we can tell you if its a good deal. You can still score a good deal even if the car isn’t a good lease. I looked into the Stinger as well as it represents a great value but that $6k+ rebate got mostly eaten away by the high MF.
I would rather finance it if I really wanted it but as you said, you only want to lease. The thing about the $300 german loaners is, they’re not fully loaded usually like the stinger is. They’re for the service dept to loan, the drivers won’t need features like the HUD or adaptive cruise control. They’re usually base models with 1-2 packages on them.
Thank you. I don’t have the numbers here with me as I away for a few days, but I do remember the MF was bad (5.3% I believe), but even Audi was not good (4.92%). What I can say is the total of my payments will be just a bit above 29k (670x36+5000), and the residual was just above 22k.
now, the BMW is series 3 with a package not even comparable with what the GT2 has. Adding miles and California tax u can see it easily goes well above 700 per month.
The Giulia basically the same. That’s a lease with 10k miles for 2 years so 20k niles3 in total. mine is for 60k miles.
I repeat 36 months, 20k miles per year, $5k at signing and $670 each month (35 months).
I struggle to see how your example can compare
yea I did but I narrowed my choice between audi a5 and stinger gt2. Those were the 2 cars I wanted. Not a big fan of BMW, but I went to have a look anyway. I really like the lines of the Stinger (but I guess it is something personal).
It is really difficult to find an accurate comparison for this vehicle. Unfortunately, neither of those are apples to apples. When you do compare the KIA against something comparable you are in high end luxury territory, which the KIA is clearly not. Makes it difficult.
One thing is for sure, this car is going to get modified to no end by the tuning market. The engine setup, along with the crap resale value, makes it a prime target for cheap and fast.
Adding 5k miles a year to a Giulia or a 340i isn’t going to cost $200 a month, more like $50-$75. Even buying the rest of the miles ahead of time it’s not anywhere near $800.
Could have had it for way less, actually. Plenty of recent posts about getting S4’s for less than $600 a month. I got quoted $604 a month on an S4 a month ago, on a true $0 down, sign and drive.
All right. Thank everyone for their opinion, suggestion and criticism. However, that lease was signed, I was just looking for some insights. I didn’t want an S4, neither an Infinity, or two Giulias (I am italian, and the last thing I want is an Alfa, for many reasons). As said the decision was between an S5 (lease over $1k), an A5 (ca. $100 more per month), and the Stinger GT2. The only way I could get cheaper leases was getting a Camry, or a Mazda (6 or CX-9). I was not able to get any of the prices you guys claimed, probably I am less good looking than you all. I needed a car, I could not wait the best month with the lowest MF, but I spent a lot of time in both Audi and Kia dealers to get the best price possible. The Kia was cheaper and more attractive. I am sure you all are driving amazing cars paid only a few cents per months. But I am happy with my choice. I am going around and I don’t see other Stingers, only a sea of Audi, BMW, Merc…and that makes me ever happier, known I am not one of the million. It’s only for three years, no big deal, I can afford this with no problems. Then I’ll get a Prius.
