2017 Equinox 24 month lease thread for December, part III

Yes, the drive off was about $900 but i didn’t pay it. The dealer just rolled it into their cost (i.e. the effective price is the 23417 minus the drive off fee).

Re: the bonus tag, I bought on Saturday and from what I have gathered from other members at that point they could assign a bonus tag to any car they wanted. I just picked the color I wanted and didn’t have to worry about which car had the tag at that point.

Alright, so the wife and I pulled the trigger on a pair of LT’s last night in Northwest Ohio, Southeast Michigan are. We didn’t get the amount off MSRP some of the others in large volume areas did, but I really didn’t have too much time to dicker about as work is about to explode before the holidays (I drive for FedEx) and there’s no guarantee that I’ll have any time off before Christmas. We did one for 10k a year and the other for 12k, and other than the 12k being red(a $395 upcharge) they were exactly the same.

2017 Equinox w/ convenience group, cargo closeout panel, protection package, and lug nuts
MSRP $29450
Agreed Price $27650.05
Incentives $5450 ($2000 conquest, $1700 lease, $1000 bonus tag, $750 incremental)
Net Cap Cost $21822.91
RV .65 for 10k/yr
MF .00125 (waived acq fee)

Payment $151 (7.25% tax rate)
Drive Off $1000 (effective $300 with Costco card)

The deal was the same on unit 2, only it was Red and had 12k a year, bringing the payment to $175 a month. So all in all, 2 cars for $325 a month with effectively $600 down not bad.

@bro1999 can you let me know about the dealer MD or VA?

@adamcar I tried to contact Thomas, never heard from him

Any idea what RV % would be for 24/30k

Assuming 2% less for Residual since 15k/yr

Currently being quoted:
2017 Equinox LT 2WD Sport Edition W/ Convenience Package

MSRP: $30,675
Discount: $3,070
Total Rebates: $5,700 ( No Costco )
Net Cost: $21,905
Dealer Service Fee: $699.95, But they are paying off $700 In remaining lease payments directly to Honda to finish out my lease.
Residual: 64% (19,632)
MF: 1.68%
Payment: $185 (7% tax)
Drive Off: $1000

If residual i’m using is correct lease calculator is showing with those numbers it should be $170/tax (added dealer fee into total sales price on quote) What am I missing?

Residual for 15k/year is correct. Can you break down the incentives? I’m assuming 1700 CCR +750 inc CCR + 1k bonus tag + 2k lease conquest = 5,450. where is the other $250 coming from?

I’m also coming up with about $170 after taxes with the numbers you provided. Something isn’t quite adding up.

Ask them to break down each incentive, and ask for ALL the fees being included, and if there are any service plans/extended warranties being bundled in the price.

Also tell them to waive the $595 acquisition fee for the .00055 money factor bump. That’ll shave 7-8 bucks a month from the monthly.

PMed you his email.
They have a few Equinox on the lot so hopefully you can work something out.

Can you please PM the MD dealer? Thank you!!

Hi, are the incentives being used in this thread available to everyone, that dealer will extend easily or something to haggle about?

It seems like incentives are different for someone who already has a GM vehicle?
Thanks.

$1,700 CCR - everyone
$750 inc CCR - dealer could feign ignorance, but everyone qualifies for this one too
$1k bonus tag - everyone as long as you find a unit that is tagged
$2k conquest/Chevy loyalty - everyone with a valid Chevy/non-GM lease
$500 farm bureau - everyone that has been a FB member for at least 30 days
$700 Costco gift card - everyone who was a Costco member as of 30 Sep

Thanks.Thanks.Thanks.

Is the residual on the Equinox LT for 24 months/10,000k at .66 or .67? Thanks.

66% residual for 24/10

GM Financial doesn’t allow lease transfers, as far as I know. I could sell to Beepi; their estimate is $15,000 to $19,000 on a 2017 Equinox LS; the buyout would be about $18,000. Doesn’t seem worth the risk.

Bro1999 - Thanks very much.

GMF allows transfers after 6 months…but only in state transfers. Sucks, but better than no transfers.

@bro1999 that’s actually not terrible, so if you’re tired of the equinox and want to get into next year’s december GM “giveaway” you can likely get out.

Beepi is now only in CA (and brand may go away)

I have personally met one of the Fair.com people (Scott Painter) when he was at BTO Auto which was prior to CarsDirect (they were trying to build a custom made car based on the BMW 5 series) where you build it on the website and it gets delivered to you in 30-60 days (raised for $400m). Hopefully, Fair.com is more like Carsdirect than BTO

Hello All!

This is the best offer I have received so far. I qualify for all the incentives except farm bureau $500. Should I pull the trigger or is there room for improvement?

MSRP: $29,970
Selling Price: $26,998
$1,100 Down
$159 a month including 6% sales tax (Florida)
15K miles yearly.

Alright so I got my paperwork last night from the dealer in SoCal that I’m picking up my equinox from, and that should close out my deal this weekend on an LT with convenience, safety and power liftgate 2 year/10k lease.

MSRP 30075
Sales Price 27023.30 (they made this specific discount for me due to a small mix up about my tax rate)
Doc Fee 80
GCC = $27103,39
CCR/Incentives - 5,450 including chevy loyalty
Residual 66%
MF .00125
$850 first month driveoff is = $517.75 taxes on CCR, first monthly payment of $139.11, VLF of $277, tire and registration fee of $37.85 - some sort of credit of $121.61 - not sure what it is for but who’s complaining.
Monthly payment will be $127.xx pre tax, $139.xx after tax.

Numbers roughly bear out to the calculator so I’m happy. Will cost me about $50 to ride a bus down to socal and pick up my car, and there will be a $395 dispo fee at end of lease but overall not too bad, around $4500 for 2 years and I’ll also get the $700 costco cash card.
