2016 Volvo S60- Lease deals

Total 13.5 k off sounds right. I was surprised he was getting so little in rebates

None of this makes any sense. Please let me know where I’m going wrong - I am unable to replicate any of this.

vhooloo: Cross Country at $230? No way.
goku: 42,590 MSRP of 2016 S60 T5 Drive-E FWD, you would need a residual of 65% to reach the $279 monthly payment. Or 12% / $5,000 off MSRP before the $9,000 incentives.
vhooloo: Cross Country at $280.55? Those numbers add up, but $12,681 off MSRP means the dealer discounted your car about $3,500. Norwood offered me about $600 on top of incentives - not $3,500.
Ursus: Sounds about right that 20% off before rebates is unrealistic. But how do you even get that 10% off MSRP on top of incentives, to reach 32%?

With Norwood only giving me $600 + offers, if I took the same Cross Country I would pay $390 / month not $280 and definitely not $230.

There really aren’t any good deals in this thread, everything posted here has a large down payment, except vhooloo’s post which I am unable to replicate.

Please enlighten me

All depends on dealer discounts BEFORE all incentives and your tax rate. Incentives are also vary by region. For example - in VA I pay 4% tax, but on the full sale price, which will make my monthly payments higher on the same deal from a different here tax is charged on lease payments.

The Conquest Bonus is available towards lease or purchase of new 2016 V60 and V60 Cross Country.

The Loyalty Bonus is available towards the lease or purchase of any new 2016 or 2017 Volvo.

This is from the volvo site so I just want to confirm if you’ve gotten the conquest bonus to work towards a S60 or another model besides V60.

I did get $1,000 conquest for S60 Inscription back in March and pretty sure you can still get it on S60.

I asked your referral about the one sole S60 Cross Country they have listed which is just about the same MSRP (I understand the #'s are different)…I mentioned that I was hoping for around $300…He comes back with $1999 drive off and $482.17/mo for 36/12K for top tier credit…Ignored my request to itemize drive off and MSDs so I’ll guess that’s not including any MSDs…Being so far apart I don’t see this happening…Emailing other SoCal dealers…

230 for 10 k miles + tax or 280 w tax for 12k miles. Those were the two offers. I took the 12k miles.

Notwood has an xc60 which you should be able to get 10k off + rebates. The numbers should come close to mine. Look at their inventory

36m 10k miles = $447 plus tax with $1400 drive off…Another dealer’s ā€œbest offerā€ for a $47K S60 CC…

There aren’t a lot of S60 Cross Country models sitting on lots. I think you’ll have better luck going for a model where there’s an obvious overstock, like the ā€œregularā€ S60 or the XC60.

Also, don’t be a payment shopper. Find a particular model that’s sitting on a lot and email the dealership with a solid offer, outlining the discounts you’d like to have.

Here’s a sample of what to send. It’s similar to what I sent the dealership when I made my offer:

Dear Volvo Of Anytown, USA -

I’m interested in a vehicle that you have in stock. The Stock Number is V299354. Please let me know if this offer would work for you:

MSRP: $47,570

Dealer Discount: -$6000
Summer Sales Event: -$3250
Lease Cash: -$1000
Lease Cash (24 month): -$600
Loyalty Discount: -$500

Net cost: $36,220

Thank you,
Mark

When they responded to me, they countered with an offer that was just $460 above what I had offered. That was good enough for me, so I accepted it. If their offer wasn’t attractive, I had two other dealerships in mind who had very similar cars in stock. You want to give yourself lots of options.

Thanks, yeah I did that for every dealer but yours since I quote your deal but explaining it was a different car…Your guy sent me the invoice after I countered and said see, he’s selling it under invoice (he didn’t even mention the sales price or incentives)…I guess this guy doesn’t just doesn’t want to ā€œliquidateā€ the S60CC which is fine since he’s a pretty far drive from me. I’m working a strong deal closer to home right now

Understood. Well, let us know how it turns out. I’ll send good thoughts your way. :innocent:

this is great intel thanks!
A dealer has offered an XC60 T5 2016 Premier for around 38k right off the bat. Says the car has been sitting on his lot for almost a year nw. Whats your advice to go about this…

With a 38k sales price, you are in the driving seat. But does that include the rebates or not? $3,250 Complimentary Premier Package or equivalent Non-Cash Credit, $500 Purchase Bonus and $1,000 Loyalty Bonus or Conquest Bonus. If not, then this is the great deal. Since your price after rebates would be 33.5k.

Dealers are quoting sales price after discounting premier package. So watch out.

Yep, and probably also accounting for loyalty/conquest. They confuse you with $4-5K off sticker. So, @drozzy123 - forget about dealer’s $38K price and start from at least $1-1.5K under invoice + all incentives. That would be your sale price.

Wanted to share more; in specific I’m talking about the S60 Cross Country but would imagine things are similar for the S60 & S60 inscription…

MSD minimum is $750 and Volvo allows up to 10, so $7,500 to tie up…
What’s baffling to me are different dealers are offering difference different pricing on 24 vs 36…Some are stating 36 is cheaper than 24 while others are stating the opposite…The two best offers I received were from 24 months…Every single dealer has ignored my request to provide a lease sheet…Just about have a deal locked up once he provides me the lease sheet so don’t want to share anything until I sign on the dotted line…Also the S60CC offers 19" optional wheels, I’ve had one dealer tell me there’s a ā€œwheel rebateā€, I asked by how much and am waiting reply…The city MPG is 20 and I’m sure with the larger wheels, not driving like a grandpa and heavy HVAC use that you’ll routinely get like 16 MPG…

Agreed, the mileage (MPG) on the S60 CC is terrible

That defeats the whole purpose of even having a CC, IMO. Also - why would you put MSD’s when MF is already close to 0%?

I see your point but it’s not that drastic of a change in size, stock are 18s and you’re only going to 19s…If stock was 16 wheels with all terrain tires it would even make less sense to upsize…One main problem is it would appear 70% of the remaining 125ish CC I can find on autotrader/cars have the larger wheels…This is an extremely rare car, I can’t find more recent data but during the reveal the production boss only about 500 would make it stateside and they ending up axeing production in Europe of this…I can’t find any data to suggest it’s being renewed for 2017 outside of a Car.com sales configurator which displays it as having a turbo-4 & 8 speed trans (MY16 CC has a turbo-5 & 6 speed)…The stock 18s are very normal looking while the 19s are more ā€œpimped outā€ looking, also if you need to replace a tire for whatever reason the 18s are cheaper so I would recommend to anyone who’s interested in making deals for the vehicles with 18s first…

With the MF I was curious how many MSDs…
