2016 Hyundai Genesis AWD lease for $193. Can we do better?

Did you talk to Leah? That seems high. I think they have a $42k MSRP that should be around $370/month which is not loaner price but a very good price for a non loaner. Do you qualify for any incentives? Anything over $400 isn’t worth it in my opinion. $350 range would be worth considering though.

Edit: just reread your post. Leah actually communicated with me for two months before my deal came around. So hopefully she will find something for you as well.

which dealer are you working with?

Sorry, didn’t realize this was directed at me. I ended up going with Car Pros Renton Hyundai, but I had other dealers close to the same price as well.

After a week of negotiations with about 4 different dealers, I finally pulled the trigger last night. Yesterday, I received word that my local dealer agreed to the price that I wanted. They called up the dealer that had the color combination that I wanted and were able to get it in within a couple hours. Here are the final numbers that were agreed up for my deal:

MSRP: $46,300
Sales Price: $41,166 ($5,134 Dealer discount, 11.09% off of MSRP)
Rebates: $4500 ($1000 Competitive Owner, $4500 Lease Cash)
Net Cap Cost: $37,261 ($595 acquisition fee rolled in)
Term: 36/10
Residual Value: 58% ($26,854)
Money Factor: .00035
Doc Fee: $150
Licensing Fee: $300

Monthly Payment: $341.24
Total Drive Off: $1261.16

Here is my lease contract for reference:

Overall, this was a pretty painless experience. This was my first lease and I have learned a lot through the whole process. Knowing all of the numbers ahead of time really puts you in a position of power. It also protects you from dealers who try to hide in hidden fees like VIN Etching etc.

Can anyone provide the Residual and MF for the genesis in FL?

You’re probably going to need to specify what you are looking for. AWD/RWD, 24 month/36 month, 10k/12k/15k miles

You are right.
I know Hyundai does not offer 24 lease offer, so I need 36 month 10k and 12k miles.
RWD model.

Not sure if the 5.0L RWD has different numbers, but I believe these are the numbers for the 3.8 RWD:

MF: .00017
RV: 10k - 57%, 12k - 56%

Do you know what kind of rebates are available? I know as a current hyundai customer there is $1000 loyalty. but thats all i know.

There is also $3500 in lease cash, and you can get another $500 if you are signed up for BoostUp

Went today this was the offer they gave me numbers don’t add up fm-.00035 rv- 57%

Congratulations! This is awesome- welcome to the club! I joined genesisowners.com after getting mine and found some good folks over there. I’m actually going to do some debadging and plastidip over the next few weeks so I’ll probably post there.

Grats on the new car. LOVE the white!

what is the $6k of rebates and tax of 1845? whats your state tax rules…just a guess, but seems like tax on a purchase rather than a lease.

Had the dealer throw in and install the Genesis wing trunk emblem as part of the deal. I’ll probably wait until the g80’s roll out and rebadge then.

That’s awesome! Looks spectacular. I really should have negotiated that in but completely spaced it. Good on you for remembering. Not a huge deal, though. The emblem cost $7 on ebay so I’ll install it on my own. But I am a little bit nervous about aligning it completely straight. Unfortunately I’m not all that handy!

There’s actually 2 posts under the emblems so aligning will not be a problem. There’s a video around of someone doing it.

emailed dealer these numbers…
msrp 43,600, selling 39,600, dealer discount 4000
rebates include: 3500 lease cash, 1000 competitive cash, 500 geico (youd see it on truecar pricing), 500 boostup. fees include: 595 acq fee, 325 dmv, 80 doc fee
net cap = $35,568
res val 24,416 @ 56%, apr% .00017, tax 8.5%
everything rolled into monthly = $344/mo including taxes/fees/tax on rebates, etc. only 1st mo due @ signing.

told me they are fine with 344 but need 920 down…so addtl 575…didnt give me a breakdown if something is wrong…but anybody else to calculate and see if my #s are off?

thanks!

Let me clear up a little bit.

MSRP 43600
Selling (cap) 39600
Lease cash and rebate total 5500
MF 0.00017
Residual 56%
Hyundai bank fee (acquisition fee) $595
Sales tax 8.5%

With above value, this is what I get from my own calculation.

$328.75 + 8.5% Tax ($27.94) = $356.70 w/ $0 Drive-off
$304.55 + 8.5% Tax ($25.89) = $330.44 w/ $920 Drive-off

I can’t seem to replicate your number. What am I missing?

conveniently gave the extra discount. so saying $500 @ signing which includes $344 for 1st mth. so even rolling that all in should just be the $350-355/mth

With $500 Drive-off, your monthly payment calculation comes out to

$315.60 + 8.5% Tax ($26.83) = $342.43 or right about $344.

And yes, you’re right about $0 drive-off. You can see the number I listed on the previous calculations.
