2016 ACURA TLX 36/12k $199/mo $0 Down - Frontpage Deal?

That sales price is about $4k too high. You have a long road of negotiations ahead, I suggest this week as a good time as it will be end of the month and Labor Day coming up.

Yeah, I’m trying to get something done by Friday. I’m a little surprised they responded with such a high sale price…going to be hard to get them to bite on a 4k reduction.

Hi all,

Sorry I’m late to posting this, the deal was about 8 days ago.

2016 Base TLX
$500 driveoff
$250 per month with taxes.

They sales manager was not happy about it (or successfully pretended, anyway).

The bag of tricks continued into the finance office, where the finance guy presented us with credit scores that do not match any of our three reports ( I am buying a house so I know what they are), to try and justify making us a Tier 2.
I advised that would not be an option, and voila, Tier 1.

To those still shopping, hang in there. As other folks have said, dealers are scared away by the monthly payment and you will have to walk them through what every number should be (MSRP, their best offer for sale price before incentives, MF, Residual, each incentive), to get to the monthly payment.

Needless to say, they should and probably do know all of this, but will act as though you don’t know what you’re talking about and then act shocked if/when it works out.

Wow, trying to trick into higher fee using wrong FICO is a twist I haven’t seen yet.

Congrats on the car. Enjoy it.

Below is the best Sales Price I was able to get. I didn’t buy the car yet… still waiting.

Piazza Acura of Ardmore
150 West Lancaster Avenue
Ardmore, PA 19003
2016 Acura TLX 2.4
MSRP: $32,615.00
Sales Price: $26,288 (includes $595 Aquisition fee)
Cap Cost Reduction: $1750 (this is $1750 Acura Edmunds.com Certificate)
Cap Cost: $24,538

Don’t know the monthly payments on this… I need to register the car in NJ. I was dealing with Sales Manager at this dealership Jamie DiFebo.

What dealership?
Any more details for the lease you can share please.

I dont have the paperwork on me, but I believe the sales price was similar to what you have quoted if not a bit higher. It looks like they have applied the flexcash and dealer incentives already. Residual was 57% and the MF was .0007 as expected. I could have done better if I had been eligible for the recent grad bonus.

I am curious what payment they will come back with. You should have enough to plug into the lease calc since you know what MF and residual should be.

Ask about the $750 Acura Flex Cash as well.

My first lease ever! Thanks to everyone on Leasehackr, senwia, elroy and others for sharing their numbers, I was able to use it as a basis for my negotiations. Although here in Northern California, they weren’t able to get the sales price down as low as Illinois but at least here we don’t have to pay tax outright. I was able to get it close to elroy’s deal in Southern California (his was a 36/10). Here is my deal:

2016 TLX Black 2.4L Base with Espresso interior
MSRP $31,695 plus Destination and handling $940
Total vehicle Sticker Price $32,635.
Gross Capitalized cost: $28,581 (includes $1500 lease cash & $500 bonus cash)

  • $595 acquisition fee rolled = $29,176.
Cap Cost Reduction ($1750 Acura Edmunds.com certificate +
    $750 Acura Finance Special) - $2500 = $0 out of pocket down.
    CAP COST = $26,676
    MF: .0007
    Residual: 57% / $18,601.95
Due at signing: $932 (1st payment $279.66, $231.25 tax on cap cost reduction, $296 Reg fees, $80 doc fees, Title, sales tax on doc fees, electronic vehicle transfer fee $45.15
    36 month, 12K/year.
Base monthly payment $255.98 + 9.25% sales tax in my area = $279.66/mo

Fee at turn-in: $350
Total of payments I will have paid by the end of the lease $11,070 ($10,720 if leasing a new Acura after 3 yrs).
If I trade into another Acura lease later they are also offering a loyalty 7500 miles overage forgiveness.
(this means I can put in 14,500 miles a year and not have to pay the $0.20/mile fee)

I tried to use elroy’s number to get the $235 tax inclusive price for 36/10 pricing, but we were only off by $500 in gross capitalized cost so I went with the 36/12.

According to the sales person the invoice was $31,127 and after incentives would be selling at $30,581 which they claimed were losing $546 on the deal. Does anyone know if this ā€œlossā€ is justified? I’m sure the dealer get some end of month huge bonus for getting rid of almost all their 2016 models before month end. (the deal was so good, the finance manager is picking up the last one but only got $1500 edmunds coupon.

How did I do on my first lease deal??? I figured anything less than 1% of MSRP is a great deal!

That’s a great deal for sure

Congrats! That is definitely one of the best deals considering it’s for 12k miles. Were you eligible for the recent grad discount?

Anybody able to get $199/mo + tax 12k/36 months in Northern California?

Are you eligible for the grad rebate?
If so, Brandon Feng at Oakland Acura can you to about $215

Thanks guys!

Yes I did qualify for the grad rebate.

Great deals on Acura
Just leased an Acura TLX 2.4L for $800 of the pocket including first month, $235 a month including tax and fees.
36 month 10K\year.

Anyone in NJ that can provide me a copy of their contract? Dealer says he’ll match any contract if I can provide him a copy? Wouldn’t budge under $289 month with only 10k miles a year…

sent you a note…go to pa. Good luck.

I’m looking to try to replicate this deal. Which dealership did you get this offer?
