Thats a lot my friend. Reason for the plug in? You can get a decently equiped used or certified x5 (granted, 2021 or so), wreck it at 2 years 364 days without insurance, and still come out ahead
Not saying the lease deal is ‘bad’, but the monthly is high for the car youre getting
Just not a vehicle that you can lease hack. Better off with an X5 i40 for about $1K per month.
Thanks for the reply.
We already have an EV and level 2 charging at home, so that offsets a little bit of the cost. But I do understand that the gas savings may not be fully realized over 45k miles.
I agree, the payment does feel a little high, and I was prepared to put a good chunk down, but kept reading its best to put 0 down and add the lump sum to a high yield savings acct, so that’s what I plan to do.
My main concern is, am I getting a bad deal? And while there may be options to get a BETTER deal on other cars, from what I can understand with my limited k knowledge….it seems as if I’m getting a good deal given the car
Go get this, I was quoted 992/month on a 36/10, 0 down. 455hp
Id go cpo in your case
It’s a fair deal in terms of discount and buy-rate money factor, but obviously Maryland tax isn’t helping, nothing you could do about that. I could probably save you another 1k, but overall, despite not being a good lease, the deal itself is decent.
Not all bad leases are a result of a bad deal, they are often the result of bad decision-making.
This looks oddly like a quote I gave earlier today…this is for an order, so the discount is pretty solid given that.
Isn’t an iX gonna be massively cheaper than this?
duplicate post
it’s kind of a hodgepodge of multiple quotes I received… not identical to any specific quote. Which is why I didn’t name where I got the quote…But they’re all similar.
Since I’m still learning and deciding, I wanted to see if people thought any of the individual components of the deal had glaring issues.
Yes, one was those was yours. Just doing my due diligence.
What’s the relevance if OP wants an X5?
Pay to play vehicle. Buy a cpo
Or lease a new one for the incentives and immediately buy out with no further tax due.
Either way, leasing until maturity and returning is the complete wrong strategy for this car.
Its a similar size SUV with a little more power, and apparently cheaper than this?
Having a fully-electric car is not practical for everyone.
there are lot of build slots
aim for 10%
And beyond the EV part there’s still a few of us that don’t want a car that makes you vomit when looking at it.
@z0lt3c , clean up on aisle iX
