That’s $1950 after a $10k incentive…

haven’t gone into lease payment but I was quoted 8% discount on a 23 ix 50 loaner with 10k miles and dealer was like “you won’t find anything better nationwide”…

A bad choice would qualify as a personal reason I suppose.
This is the rare lease payment that pays for a car AND a boat. The dealer’s boat that is.

This guy from the Acura subreddit got taken to the cleaners for a ZDX. Apparently he traded in his Q5 and had $20,500 applied to his deal. With that he’s still paying “500ish” a month on a lease.:tired_face:

I’m surprised that New_Reddit_User_89 didn’t also haul out the 1% rule, while he was casually repeating the myth that NovaHoke1998 is going to be “out all of that money” if he totals the new car.

I bet he’s too uninformed to mention what was owed on his trade. You cannot assume with 100% certainty that it was all equity.

Great point!

Holy hell… $20.5k in trade equity and still $500/month. The guy mentioned he actually got a “few thousand” off MSRP, plus the $7,500 EV credit. The monthly is still so high because he got every add-on under the sun. $79.8k MSRP, 49% RV ($39.9k) on 10k/36. I’d rather put M badges, stripes, and grill inserts on a non-M Sport car than buy or lease a Type S product, especially the GMDX.

$20,500 of trade value. Nowhere is trade equity discussed; he could have even applied negative (trade) equity into the lease. .

He said $10,375 in ‘credits off the sale price’ ($2,875 discount + 7.5k EV) and $20,500 on his trade-in as a down payment. He even laid out the terms and “preferred MF.” Plugging in NY tax and higher MSRP after accessories gets us to $417/month with everything rolled in, WITH $20.5k positive equity down. Add the boat payments for the finance guy and we’re easily at $500/month even if he didn’t roll anything in. CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR

Tangentially related but what maintenance is there on an EV in the first 3 years? And how is Honda/Acura unique in having a warranty? Can’t blame the guy for getting the car he wanted, but it sure took a lot to get there…

Dude just covered next 10 Acura EV leases at $350 sign and drive for that store. We should send him collective “Thank you” card.

The amount of people in this thread okay with these lease terms are crazy. Simple math could have honestly saved this

Math is hard
