Why sienna is still so expensive

I thought CPO wasn’t as great a deal as it once was

I think CPO is kind of a broad statement. Like there are some terribly priced CPO, but also some great deal CPO. I guess when I said CPO I assumed the audience here would be able to haggle one and pay a smart price. But yeah, there may be a “worst CPO you’ve ever seen” thread on LH soon.

For example, Westchester has a CPO Sienna for $7k over MSRP. WHAT?
Sneaky SOBs. Koons has a CPO Sienna for $2k Over. So for ya’ll… don’t shop at Koons or Westchester.

Westchester:
CPO Midnight Black Metallic 2024 Toyota Sienna LE for Sale in Yonkers, NY | 5TDBRKEC0RS215269 | Westchester Toyota?

Koons:
Used 2024 Toyota Sienna Limited - Passenger Van at Koons Tysons Toyota - A Toyota for sale in Virginia?

Maybe @Jrouleau426 and @Jeff_BeachCitiesAuto will start slinging ToMoCo CPO once the economy really tanks.

CPOHackr when?

Including destination, the Voyager’s starting MSRP is actually higher than the Sienna’s and Carnival’s.

The sticker doesn’t make it any kind of value play at all. I suppose it will attract people who die on the hill of taking any discount vs paying sticker, easier subprime approval or little regard for resale value.

Cpo is always worse then buying new when it comes to Toyota, for my dealers at least. Their business model is volume on new cars. Walk in buyers get the cpos ans likely overpay.

That’s the stallantis way. High msrp and high discounts for the allusion of a deal. It works well. Subconsciously many people will buy a 5k off Chrysler over an msrp sienna. As they think it’s a “deal”.

That’s exactly what happened to my aunt - her V6 Odyssey transmission blew out at 120k miles. The whole family swore off Honda after that and have steadily rolled with Toyota products.

lol @djrabbi cant even get to 12k miles on a CDJR, let alone 120k.

+1. I don’t recall the last time I saw a Toyota or Honda CPO that made sense over a discounted new one.

Can’t spell JCpenney without the J and C from CDJR.

He’s a glutton for punishment, though it doesn’t matter when you have a double digit stable of cars in the garage

I lived in a condo near Disney World for a few years. I figured if I were going to die, the most likely scenario was being hit by a white rental Grand Caravan (probably with headlights off at night) while going on a run past the outlet mall. The vehicle mix has definitely changed since.
