Which is best premium CPO SUV to buy

I don’t think any other brand does a 10 year unlimited mile warranty

That’s meaningless to me since I don’t drive anywhere near unlimited miles. Never needed more than the 4/50k on new cars in this segment.

Even for people who drive a lot I’m not sure I’d recommend an “unlimited mile” European luxury brand because depreciation and consumables will kill whatever savings you imagine you’re getting.

Plenty of pharmacy reps, outside sales, regional sales types get the unlimited mile warranty. Also we are far enough east on Long Island that the drive into the city folk buy them too.

lol I’ve got the world’s most self centered moderator on ignore… but I imagine he posted something dumb along the lines of how he wouldn’t want a long warranty, therefore it’s dumb for anyone to want a long warranty.

Thank you for teaching me about a feature I didn’t know existed. :100:

Going to pick up a used x7 today to replace my lemon eqs suv. From my research, this is the best premium suv money can buy right now till you get to a Rolls Royce, especially a pre-LCI.

Don’t sleep on Lexus LX or TX

I enjoy an X7 like the next guy, but I don’t know that I would throw it in the same ballpark as a Rolls-Royce. For Cullinan money, give me a DBX, Bentayga, or Urus.

Used X7 definitely has a strong appeal for the $. But I agree, there’s a few others that are overall better, but still short of a Cullinan. Adding a Range Rover and higher trim GLS to that list.

Yeah what I said, not saying it better than rolls Royce, but there isn’t really a better 3 row suv between x7 and cullinan price range. IMO it’s better than a Range Rover or gls.

I love the X7. I would personally buy a Range Rover or SQ7 before it though. This is why there are lots of car choices because everyone is different!

Yeah I agree the X7 is a great choice for the 3 row SUV market. Post pics once you get it!

Are you able to share the differences (in reality not paper, if there any) between “CPO” extension and VIP extension? My post above about the changes last year on when “CPO” can be purchased.

Year, miles, price, etc?

Yeah there are plenty of people defining their budget as a bunch of line items that don’t exceed their income… or have the same understanding of depreciation and consumables as the typical DoorDash driver.

Neither is financially savvy.

Anyway we don’t need to rehash the same things. The Volvo CPO warranty is extremely limited in what it covers, so the fact that miles are unlimited is just moot.

I mean you still haven’t said what it doesnt cover that it should so…

Not to butt in to the conversation but my recollection on the warranty from when we bought it and all the research was that it’s exclusionary and most of the items not covered are wearables/maintenance. Might have to check it again.

2019 around 50k miles and 45k. Maxed out specs. Not the best price but really liked the white on white interiors.

It used to be, but now it’s extremely limited.

Their own language straight from their website says

12-month, unlimited mile warranty, upgradeable for an additonal 5 years*** covering replacement or repair of defective components within the following systems: engine, transmission, drive axle (front and rear), steering, suspension, brakes, electrical, air conditioning

That leaves out so many of the common failure points of a modern car, things that can throw a CEL or leave you stranded. Just off of the top of my head

Turbo and super chargers + related parts
Radiator and cooling system
Ignition, alternator, starter etc
All the sensors (O2, MAF, EGR, etc)
Gaskets & seals
Manifolds
Infotainment & displays
ACC, BSM, AEB, FCW, RCTA, LKAS or any other aspect of a modern safety suite
Headlights
Sun or moonroof
48v or PHEV systems etc etc if applicable

Between parts and labor a lot of these can be very expensive to fix on a late model luxury car

I very rarely will level a personal accusation. You are 100% wrong, have no idea what you are talking about.
