Which is best premium CPO SUV to buy

I am seeing certain trims tend to hold value better than other. Like X5 M50i, GLE63 GM/GLE450, Cayenne S.
Is it reasonable to say they would be better when it comes to depreciation maybe because there aren’t as many unit in the market compared to the base versions. besides more power engines ofcourse.

That is also true. Fewer cars and the people who want those higher performance trims are willing to pay for it. That being said, it would also be harder to get a good deal on one now

How long do you plan to keep the car? Most CPOs (without purchasing extension) as mentioned in the posts above are only going to give you 1-2 (maybe 3) years depending on the model year you end up buying. So it’s a short time frame relatively speaking and the CPO would most likely run out (or close) by the time you decide to sell it. The area you are in also matters too.

Resale value is the best on Lexus regardless of CPO or not IMO.

Yup. Or Eric.

I’m not really sure this is true. As stated, plug in a 2017 to see what a 2021 might be worth in 4 years time.

Also google N63 engine repair.

Or google N63 tune+intake+down pipes. :grinning:

Indirect way of reaching the same destination.

N63 keeps getting it technical updates , since 2018 onwards. While the warranty on the CPOs won’t last too long, some dealers told me they don’t get cars certified on purpose because bmw reduced the warranty period from 2 year to 1 year only.
It’s a tricky decision. I plan to keep the car for 4-5 years max and then switch to another one.

Had cpo bmw previously. Imo not worth it for 1 year warranty. Unless you have repairs covered by warranty that’s more than 2k in first year it’s just not worth it. Chances of this happening is pretty low as well.

2018 was the third or fourth iteration.

Each TU was heralded was the fix to all the problems… then lo and behold there was another TU because it didn’t.

How’s your CPO experience been.
Everyone keeps talking about warranty and engines. I read several issues with engines etc.
Are these cars really breaking down within 100k milage?

Mine was a BMW 5 series. No problems at all in 2 years I’ve had it other than AC not blowing cold air nearing end of 2nd year.

I briefly compared insurance for 23’RX350h vs 21’X5/X5M and there’s not much of a difference, $20/mo more on the BMW apparently

Looking for quick advise from the members. Purchasing a car in the next couple of days.
-2020 Cayenne CPO 28K miles (86k msrp sticker, with ACC,Surroudn View, Premium package): $55,000
-2021 X5 x40i CPO 24k miles (80 k msrp, with all packages full loaded) at $55000
-2021 X5 M50i nonCPO 27K miles (executive, driving, park assist)- $58K

Are any of these good deal to work with ?

That X5 x40i CPO seems overpriced. West Houston (Katy) BMW has a 2020 CPO X5 x50i black/black loaded (DAP, HUD, Massaging) with 12k on the odometer. Claimed original MSRP was $85.6k. They listed it at $52k.

Not sure if @IAC can sling CPO, but it’ll be useful to see if that car is legit or just a bogus listing.
