The $7500 is a tax credit right? Is that essentially just a discount on the MSRP??? Just a little confused how it all works.
Yes Chrysler Capital will apply it toward the lease to lower the cap cost/price you pay.
When you say “best”, you mean “least worst” right? After singing praises about leasing and its benefits… I’m throwing in the towel and buying both of my cars on order right now
Leasing is just horrendous at the moment.
If you lease through ccap, its a lease incentive applied as a cap cost reduction.
The bank gets the tax credit and then some pass on an equivalent amount incentive.
Interesting. I myself have a 2021 GC and I was going to cash out on my equity and upgrade to a 2022 altitude…based on this it looks like I may be better off going this route, seems like it would essentially be the same price?
An RV based on no historical data and a MF in one of the worst interest rates environments in the last few years… I am not sure “locking” will really guarantee a great lease. Lease value is created here via the continuing abuse of the $7500 federal rebate, which could every well be eliminated in 2023 by the new legislation.
an xc90 is the best value in the 3 row suv space right now.
Just buy out the car you’re leasing and get a 5 year extended warranty on it. Shop around and you might find a sub 3% APR which will be less than half of a MF right now.
Just curious since I know you broker Volvo & Toyota. Is the XC90 any bigger (on the inside) than a Highlander?
I have no doubt that the TCO of a well-bought Highlander hybrid, Sorento PHEV, etc will easily beat the TCO of a GC 4xe lease.
I also do not want to get into a “what is a luxury vehicle?” debate but surely a vehicle from an OEM that didn’t care about flunking a benchmark safety test or whether it’s cheaply sourced airbags actually deploy in a crash cannot be considered “luxury” whatever that means.
Surely some certainty that airbags will deploy as intended is a minimum threshold for any vehicle in 2022, whether “luxury” or not.
Hey all, just have a small question. My apologies if this is covered a ton.
We currently lease a 2021 Nissan Murano. We got it last summer for my wife, but it was very much something she “settled” on, as we were unable to lease another Pathfinder at that time (there was no 2021 model) and her lease was up. We got a decent deal on it, considering the times. $450/month, loaded SL 4WD. My question is, I’m considering the option of seeing if a Nissan dealer would buy it back, considering how high used car values still are, and trying to get her what she really wanted…which is either another Pathfinder, or something similar. Back when we were looking a year ago, she did also like the Honda Pilot and Mazda CX-9… but we ended up forgoing those options when we realized that Nissan won’t let you “trade” a lease to anyone other than Nissan. Basically what I’m asking is are there any options out there in terms of a 3 row midsize that we could be looking at that $450 range on? Obviously I’m going to do some digging in terms of what her Murano is worth versus her payoff to see if there’s some positive equity there. But is there any hope at all right now of finding something like that? We are in Indiana, by the way. Thanks all!
hat we could be looking at that $450 range on?
Absolutely NOTHING, You are starting in the 6s after TTL
You might be able to get a Jeep GCL in the 500s. LeaseCompanion works in the Midwest. Check out Subaru Ascent as well. Especially if you can get Subaru VIP.

That’s more like 550 and after $2000 down and is usually a special order
Jeez… it’s crazy how much worse it’s gotten in just a year. And I thought last June was bad enough…. Ugh. Not very promising.
but it’s fine when it’s on an x3m40 or a glc43 or something??
Let me know where I said that.
IDK if there’s a bigger MSRP joke than the Levante. It’s the perfect vehicle for people who assume “discount off MSRP” or “lease payment as a % of MSRP” automatically means they got a good deal.
the highlander competes w a pilot, so it’s way bigger than an xc90.
Got it. Thanks! We sold the Pilot to buy our Highlander. The Pilot definitely has a lot more interior space (IMO).
b/c it’s an 8 seater.
