I have no doubt that the TCO of a well-bought Highlander hybrid, Sorento PHEV, etc will easily beat the TCO of a GC 4xe lease.
I also do not want to get into a “what is a luxury vehicle?” debate but surely a vehicle from an OEM that didn’t care about flunking a benchmark safety test or whether it’s cheaply sourced airbags actually deploy in a crash cannot be considered “luxury” whatever that means.
Surely some certainty that airbags will deploy as intended is a minimum threshold for any vehicle in 2022, whether “luxury” or not.
