What’s the best EV to lease under $1000? I need a 20,000 mile lease

I need a 20,000 mile lease, so the fact that I need a 20,000 mile lease in the first place means that I am definitely going to have to lease some EV for my next car.

I am interested in the EQE or EQS SUV, but it seems like they aren’t leasing well brand new for 2026 since they lowered the residuals for them and for the 2025 demos there aren’t any EQS SUVs available very few EQE SUVs, so with the rebates ending on them after October such as the Amex loyalty reignite and 7500 they aren’t leasing well.

Is this true had anyone been able to secure a deal on a EQS SUV or EQE SUV within the past month.

BMW iX45 looks doable for a decent amount under $1K/month for a 20K/year lease. I was too lazy to check EQE but that might be doable too though I thought MB wasn’t offering new EQ vehicles in the US. Since calculators only go up to 15K, assume the 5K additional at 25 or 30 cents per mile. Warranty coverage would be separate issue.

If you meant 20K miles total in your lease, then you’ve got plenty of options at your price point.

Yeah 20,000 miles a year the best I’ve gotten on a EQE SUV is 950 a month.

Are you open to any vehicle, or are you only looking at luxury EV SUVs?

If you are leasing longer than 24 months, there are very few brands that will still be under warranty at disposition. I’d avoid 36+ months (which limits your choices) and anything that won’t be under warranty for the term.

CPO Taycan, get a $200k+ msrp Turbo 12/15k one pay

No good deal for EQs of any kind out there. $950 EQE SUV sounds crazy to me, but I was spoiled with multiple great EQS leases over last few years. Cadillac may be an option. Lyriq/Vistiq vs EQE/EQS ? Way better deals.

yes but tbf its a 20000 mile per year lease

What about BMW i5?

Generally, on anything with MSRP close to 100k you might want to check the math on buying extra miles and taking the minimum that the captive is offering instead of signing 20k.

Have you factored in the cost of charging the EV?

I’ll echo this with are you going to be okay with just hanging at chargers.

Why not just buy a toyota or lexus or something?

Maybe @Maxedout2025 will charge overnight at home.He would need to fully charge roughly twice a week.We do not know the details.

A Cadillac Lyriq on a 24/15 lease should run you under $500/mo especially if you have the Costco & conquest incentives.

Figure another $100/mo effective for the excess mileage charges at the end of the lease and you’re still comfortably under $1000/mo with a luxury EV.

Still agree with @Bumboola though, just buy a Lexus or Toyota.

Why are you concluding this? Have you checked out Infiniti flex leases? Excess miles come super cheap.

Broker deals linked are for 10k miles a year. Even if you just pay excess miles @ 25c , that will be about $200 extra per month. If you build it into the lease, may be even less.

With Infiniti or Nissan it is only $ 0.10 per mile.

Nah I want to enjoy my car lol.

Yea I mean you get free charging
