What EV should I get?

@max_g Love it what you said above—if luxury & performance is the criteria, which EV would you personally choose from the EV list?
Audi? A6? Q6 is having s/w problems or not leasing well?

Already have three cars (Nissan Ariya at $124/mo returning in December, plus two BMWs), but I’m planning ahead for expiring credits and want to future-proof for the next 24 months. so this will be technicall replacing Ariya. Other leases are till 2027/2028.

Would love to hear your take given this context!

Just to get a sense of deal volume and size, I asked Perplexity to pull the latest 1-2 months Signed Deals forum data. See below.

Not sure how to upload csv file.

For performance a ZDX Type S or a 2025 BMW IX 50 if any are left.

For value a Lexus RZ. Not in the superficial payment/sticker sense because the sticker is surprisingly low. But the best feature content per dollar right now IMO.

RZ design looks good on paper. Range is too low. 200ish

BMW ix is too expensive. Doesn’t make sense to spend that on electric. I can have M3 or M4 in less payment. Already have 80K M440i xd GC picked up in Jan this year. ix Doesn’t stand near it in terms of power and styling.

A6 looks tempting with 390 range. can get easily 300 in winter.

you think last week of Sep A6 can be haggle for 15-20% off?

What is this sales credit thing? is it state thing?

Hello. It’s unclear if the OP plans to return, but they asked about a Q6 and the topic is veering off that top. Would you mind creating a new topic (or if I moved your posts and related ones to a new topic)?

sure np, move it pls.
Was asking Max advice on next EV pick.

Sales tax credit is a specific thing for Texas lease

No, you cannot.

RZ300e is 266 miles. But after 4 years of EV driving I’ve realized that beyond 200 miles the range is largely irrelevant. I rarely drive beyond 150 miles in a day. So a couple additional stops per year is nothing especially when they can be timed with meal stops anyway. YMMV.

And 3yr Lexus EV leases come with free 30 days of Lexus ICEV rentals for people whose range anxiety on road trips is stopping them from leasing an RZ.

If you can get me an M3 for less than the average deal on an iX on here, I’ll pay you a huge broker fee.

30 days for the 3 years or 30 days per year?

Beat me to it. I was like an M3 or M4 for the price of an IX. I’ll take one too.

I should’ve kept scrolling

30 days for the 3 years…

I’m in the same camp. My Lucid is up the first week of October so looking at getting something the end of September. My list of cars I’m hoping to see deals this month include:
Hummer EV
Escalade EV
Lucid

How did you like it so far?

It’s been good. The tech is glitchy. I would be open to another one but after paying $380 a month, it would be hard to get another at the current lease rates.

Still quite a value… that’s a ~ $1500 savings for road trips.

I was in the situation of renting an ICE multiple times in the last year because of range restrictions.

Yes, if it’s like the MIRAI-they should also cover the FUEL :+1: don’t know if they do…

What if also considering mainstream brands? Fully loaded Equinox or Ioniq5 are better value for the features/comfort?

It’s worth comparing features and then comparing payments on an apples:apples basis. “Fully loaded” has become such an ambiguous and possibly meaningless term when it means different things on different cars.

For example a base RZ 300 premium is equipped with 360, vent seats, heated wheel, etc. How much is a Io5 with the same features?
