2 years ago we had some crazy EQS/EQE deals and Volvo XC90 T8 deals. I got both and both are running out. I just replaced the EQE with a GLC. Not as crazy of a deal but also not that terrible. Looking now for a replacement for the XC90. What are the current crazy deals out there? I am in California but as those deals were on, I think they were nationwide. I know we most likely wont see these super crazy deals anymore because the $7500 ev credit is gone but our folks here in forum find always some nice deals, so I would appreciate if you could share your ideas/deals with me and the others who are in my situation. I prefer luxury hybrid sedans/SUVs but am pretty much open to any car/brand as long as it is a nice deal. Thank you in advance for your help!!
I’ve never understood this mentality. If you don’t like the car, isn’t the deal kinda meaningless? I’d rather pay the market rate for a good car than get a screaming deal on an objectively bad car
Your best bet is to peruse the signed forum and look for common models that keep popping up. Some are true unicorns that are difficult to repeat but if you will get the general idea. Another option is the marketplace forum in your area and see what the brokers are listing. That being said there isn’t anything currently really like those two that you mentioned.
Some people want to rent the cheapest form of transportation possible. Bad cars included.

Back in the 7500 rebate days my son’s car was under 100/mo and daughters under 200 mine under 300. Even today you can some sedans in the 200s and suv options in the 300s

from a TCO standpoint that’s still more than what a civic or Corolla would be esp at 2-300/mo
I guess I just find the whole deal chaser thing interesting, yes it’s a better deal than paying like 1000/mo for a c300 but it’s still not really the ideal financial txn. It’s like optimizing an inferior decision, like the most healthy cigarette
Right now I’ll take $40-$50,000 Pathfinder in the 300s or $55,000 GLA 250 in the 200s. I feel like those are pretty cheap. For bad cars.
They’re not hybrid but the savings buys a lot of gas!
And they are 24m leases which is so much better than anything 36-39

I’ve driven a Pathfinder. It’s not a bad car anymore than a Highlander, Pilot or Explorer is a bad car and people are unnecessarily paying WAY more to lease those.
It’s even worse when you compare the trims with 360 on those to the Pathfinder SL.
If the majority of people were actually interested in making the best financial decisions, regarding TCO, LH would likely not even exist lol
Agree - I was a bit tongue in cheek. That said - people do have Negative opinion about Nissan more often than not it seems - and Infiniti.

I think there’s different ways to define good/bad cars. On a lease I personally approach it from a car that meets the buyer’s needs (might be space, driving characteristics, creature comforts etc), without worrying about long-term costs such as reliability. If it checks the boxes and is cheap, i’ll happily lease it.
The hybrid Dodge Hornet R/T is a great example, fun car to drive, checks the box for a small SUV, but wouldn’t purchase it at $45k or whatever the MSRP was. Lease it at $150 or less/mo? Sure!

Best 63.32 a month I’ve ever spent. My effective payment is actually 37.83 if you factor in the $624 check Stellantis sent me and the month I had it as “loaner” bc the dealer couldn’t get the paperwork right lol. Leased it for my niece and I’m gonna be sad to see it go. I’m sure whatever comes next will be at least quadruple the price lol.
