Put your name on the list. Buy it for him when it arrives. You need to wait for both watches. Forget about a steel Daytona but you might be able to get a white gold after a wait. Currently there are no discounts. Where he lives is more likely to find one probably.

Took advantage of the price drops and recently scooped up a 2018 15400st. Definitely one of my favorite new daily pieces.

The waitlist is usually more of a wait less…as in the more money you spend = you wait less.

Customers with spend history typically get the good stuff.

You’re not going to get a discount on almost any Rolex today. Only one out of the 10+ Rolexes I’ve sourced for friends and family over the past 5 years had a discount. And it was a 60k day date with diamonds. If you want a sub, it’s possible. For a daytona without any purchase history? It’s more likely that aronchi gets me a Porsche 911 GT3 RS at MSRP.

Anybody know how hard it is to get a new air king at msrp without a purchase history ?

Alternatively how to get a migauss with green glass and black dial since it’s discontinued.

Airking is relatively easy to get. My suggestion is to spam a bunch of ADs, you’ll get lucky eventually

one of the ugliest watches i’ve ever seen. can be said for almost every rolex, actually.

I agree with the airking but to each their own. But personally many of the datejusts, day dates, submariner, and daytonas are iconic.

Milguauss jumped in price like 20% since it was discontinued last I checked. Join the Moda Facebook group I’ve seen several on there lately new but secondary market. Prob looking at 10k used up to 13-14 new

Regardless it’s always cheaper there than anywhere else online that I’ve seen

I like the white dial on orange rubber for a summer look. I’d have to own 20 other watches before I bought this though…

Agree with Moda, the prices there were always better than the rest of the online/secondary market.

What’s moda ? Sorry I know nothing about buying Rolex. Trying to help my friend out. He wants to buy a Rolex, max budget is $10k, said he liked the airking, milgauss and datejust Wimbledon with the gray dial and the green Roman numerals.

The Wimbledon seems to be out of budget.

Which one you guys thing would hold value the best? Sounds like the airking might be the worst?

Or any other Rolex to consider for $10k that holds value?

You can get a Wimbledon on oyster for close to 11-12. Jubilee goes for a little more. Not much under 10 in 40mm+ for Rolex these days honestly. Basic Datejust used maybe.

Air King should be more than easy. I’ve seen whole bunch of subs delivered in last couple months to no prior history buyers.

I scored a Starbucks with no prior history, 6 month wait.

Does anyone in here own an Oris Aquis that isn’t a 43.5mm case?

I’m going to be manufacturing some strap adapters to use a standard aftermarket strap instead of the notched Oris design and am looking for some people to do some test fitting.
