What if the membership for ABA expired a year ago? If i renew the membership now , will I qualify for a $2k rebate?
Just find a lawyer buddy and ask them to generate a pin for you. They all belong to the organization and i dont know a single lawyer that drives a volvo.

I recently signed up for ABA, I wouldn’t be able to get the discount, is there any way I can get it from someone?
Just called dealership to finalize my deal on a 2024 XC90 T8 Plus loaner and was told the same. Must be an ABA Member for at least 90 days. Also, active ABA Members (90 days+) cannot sponsor friends.
Only sharing what I was just told.
As if Midwest lease hacking wasn’t hard enough to begin with

How are they verifying that? Especially the ABA member gifting a pin? Asking just for group understanding as the ABA website allows for 3 pins/ annually. That is typical for affinity discounts.
Don’t give up. Dealers near me are offering it as late as yesterday when I inquired. It’s not money the dealer is giving you after all. It’s directly from Volvo.
@aronchi your enjoyment of this spectacle is embarrassing for you as a broker on this site. You began with attacking an entire thread of people who were simply using the information and rules available to them to save money. Congratulations dude, you win I guess?

To rehash, i know for a fact that volvo corporate has representation here. They have price shopped me in the past, especially when i started posting polestar. The people you describe actually went out of their way to create this problem for themselves. I did nothing here, other than advise them to tone it down, since I knew the higher ups were watching. My dealers even told me that they knew that the higher ups were watching. Shame on you for blaming me.

Shame? Anyway, you could’ve handled it differently. I’m a grown man and don’t respond well to being called an “absolute fool”. If you wanted to help or inform us, it didn’t need to go down like that. I also didn’t blame you but you’re taking your victory laps, so I felt the need to comment.
I’m not taking any victory laps. All i did was (correctly) advise the community to tone it down because the alarm bells were going off. You guys were all screaming it from the rooftops. There was no tact, whatsoever. There’s going to be some fallout from this. Corporate is angry.

Yes. But if you look at my initial posts, they were literally “take this down”, these are fraudulent memberships and pins and they’re going to bounce. You guys all attacked me for saying it. And then i got angry when nobody listened.
This is a microcosm of what a certain group think does. Name call and then play victim.
Whatever happen to good old fashion town park punch each other until your friends.
Fyi, ABA and Volvo must have updated the requirements on their site.
It now states: Volvo discount applicable to all active lawyer members. Not valid for law student or affiliated professional members. ABA memberships are not refundable once paid and Volvo discount is received. Canceled memberships will not be renewed, however, members will have access to all member benefits through the end of their term.

I am not a moderator and cannot dig up threads history. But you were pissed off with people getting deals better than you offer. It was pretty obvious in your attacks. You even admitted yesterday that you cannot move anything because of elevated expectations from forum members.
