No one will give even 10% to a walk-in. You need to work for it. This guy gave you invoice.

@Ursus thanks for the insight. I guess my follow-up question to you would be is it possible given the current market for a “walk in” to get 10% off or more on the XC90?
I get that a broker or folks with inside info are best equipt to get the best deals. What took me aback is the internet sales guy didn’t even look to negotiate and was happy to let me walk… which made me think there’s no way I’d be able to work for that type of discount given whatever market factors might be in play on that particular vehicle.
Where are you located? In general, you start working with a dealer and try getting to your target. 9-10% IS doable on your own, but like I said it takes some effort.

Time to find a new dealer. I’ve heard the same line at 6% off, only to have the dealer down the street agree to 11%.
