Volvo Incentives

thanks for the links!

Did you get your answer? I just started at a Volvo store. I can help. Thinking about signing up if I can get enough business.

Any opinions?

There’s a lot of volvo business on LH

Just search the threads

Signing up is like $20/month

I’m sure the ROI is there

Like Mike said - just pay and see for yourself. If it doesn’t work out - just don’t renew.

Anyone know if Volvo dealers can get incentives to match other regions? There is a $3000 offer on an xc90 r design in my city but $5500 in other regions. Seems like the extra cash is worth paying for shipping. Bad idea to scroll through Edmunds and see what everyone else is getting as lease cash.

No, they can’t.

Is there a way to check the most Incentives offered on a particular vehicle and then work from there?
(For ex Volvo S60 or BMW 3 Series)

@Ursus…Question for you given your Volvo expertise. Did the A-plan change? I was amongst the group that leveraged this site and advice to get a nice deal on a T6 Insc S90 2 yrs ago by “stacking” the A-plan with an aggressive dealer discount and holiday incentives. I’m now back in the market and a little confused.

Did the A-plan change? Are you still able to negotiate to get the dealer discount and then apply the A-plan discounts ($1K A-Plan elite bonus, $2.5K Volvo allowance and $1K purchase bonus for 2020 XC 90 t6 Inscr).

Thanks n advance for your help.

A plan changed about 18 months ago, so it can no longer be stacked on a discount deeper than the standard a-plan numbers.

As @mllcb42 said. No more a-plan and below invoice pricing.

Hi,
I am eligible for Volvo A Plan. The dealer is giving me $750 incentive.
I see for 2020 XC40 T5 Momentum with A plan base price is 33558 which usually is otherwise 35700.
But the dealer says he can only give $750 and is using MSRP as $35700.

Should I be getting a 33558 as new base under A plan or my dealer is ripping me off.
I don’t understand how these things work . :frowning:

Any help is appreciated.

With a-plan, the price you see is the price you get. There’s no further negotiating beyond the a-plan price. Generally, on volvos, you can negotiate much further, so a-plan isn’t even worth using.

Can you be more specific about what the deal you have in front of you looks like? Are you saying that the dealer is only willing to go to a selling price of $34950 (MSRP minus $750)?

The base MSRP without any add on is 35700. With add on it goes up to 45570.
Including rebates of 750 and lease incentive of 1500, I am getting total discount worth $5750.

Now I am confused if my dealer should use $33558 as base MSRP or $35700?

With base as $35700, I am getting Selling price as $39820.

I think you may be confused as to how MSRP works.

If the vehicle with options is $45570, the MSRP is $45570. Doesn’t matter if you’re using a-plan, paying cash, etc. The MSRP is what the MSRP is.

What does the window sticker say the MSRP is? That’s the only MSRP that exists.

Gotcha, its $45,570.

A-plan price is roughly 6% pre-incentive discount plus whatever the a-plan bonus is. That means on a $45570 xc40, your pre-incentive price, after a-plan bonus, should be about $42085. Need to know what your local incentives are to go from there.

Question here for anyone who is familiar with Volvo and a dealership’s BS meter.

Just asked for a 10% off MSPR on a XC90 T6 Momentum that MSRP’s at ~ $62K and the internet sales guy basically said that’s an impossible deal. Internet sales guy was willing to go $56K final cap cost inclusive of the $2,500 Volvo incentives currently available for the XC90 (so by my math was willing to drop the sticker price by 3.5k or a little over 5% off MSRP). Sounds like a terrible deal to me!

Is that BS, or should I expect someone to go at least 10% off MSRP for the XC90?
