Used 4 seat convertible options

It’s about that time for a new car. Been waiting the market out for a long time and really want something for the winter in Florida. I need 4 seats. I’ve had my truck for 3 years and this is the longest I’ve ever owned a vehicle so time for a splurge.

S65 or s63 convertibles are mainly what I’ve been looking at but open to other stuff. I’ve watched the s65 verts drop like 50k in the last year to the 80-100k range. Goal is to buy something, put maybe 5k miles on it and sell/trade it in a year or so.

Any other fun suggestions or reasons to not get the amg? Was also looking at the new sl63 with 20-25k off but they still lease terrible (2250/mo for 130k sales price). I would totally lease something but don’t want to be over 1500/mo so not a lot of fun options there.

2 door Bronco. Not fast or fancy, but nostalgic and will probably keep its value. Otherwise, you have the competitors to the c63 - m440i and S5

8 series convertible is a 4 seater

I prefer the 250k-300k range depreciated for 5 years. The only bmw I would consider is the m8 but I didn’t love it when I test drove one when I sold my i8. If I’m going vw engines then it would be Bentley gtc but a little too flashy for me. I’ve owned like 6 amgs in the past and they were all very reliable and sold them for the same or more then I paid after a year or so

I’d just go 2020 m8 for 80k if I went that route. Not a huge bmw fan unless they’re deals from 3-4 years ago when I leased like 6 of them haha

ArE yOu HiRiNG?

Ok I know it sounds a bit silly but ZL1 drop top. It’s like riding a lion, that is on fire, and wants to kill you.

Drove one last month. Wasn’t really impressed with it and it felt very dated. It was a 2012 but I don’t think there’s a huge diff between that and the 15s or whenever they stopped making it and switched to portofino.

Porsche turbo was my ideal car but I just can’t justify current prices on those. Plus the backseat isn’t nearly as comfortable and we do a lot of road trips.

What about a DB9?

Too much bloody money in south Florida, M8’s and Bentleys and California’s are dime a dozen.

If you had something like this you wouldn’t be a self indulgent weiner, but a connoisseur.

Had a 500e before. Don’t even want to know what that would be worth now…

If I was going classic it would be a Lincoln continental but as I said I need something for long road trips so vintage won’t work for me.

Sell the twin turbo huracan and get a urus
It’s time to give up the race cars Jim

Considered it but the dash just seemed too cheap/dated. Plus a little scared of British reliability. I know they’re not the worst but still a bit more risky

A true connoisseur!!! :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire:
