UPDATED: ‘17 BMW M3 MSRP 92.4k, $5k Down, $496 + Tax

I actually have a 2017 as well but I cannot transfer at the moment because of the driveshaft recall. No eta on the replacement part. Until that is taken care of, no transfers are allowed. :frowning: just FYI…

He had it remedied, thank you for the tip!

Cool. Waiting for BMW NA for a remedy asap

This may be a bit of a tough sell due to the availability of a new M3 CS for a comparable monthly ($900).

But it isn’t… i didn’t question your title. I question you saying it is roughly $472 a month. Sure you write a check for 472 but again that isn’t the true cost. Any case I am sure you understand the overall point.

I think you are failing at reading the post properly. He was asking about clarification on the mileage and with the adjusted starting mileage he is averaging 472 MILES a month. 472 and $472 are different things. It’s not that I am having trouble understanding your point, you are having trouble understanding the structure that the monthly payment is fixed at what it is right now, because of a unique case. Whoever assumes the lease can is fixed at its rate of $496+ Tax.

With the lowered downpayment plus transfer fee this comes out to roughly 885 a month adjusted. Correct me if I am wrong but this looks to be a demo car when first leased? I think this is an ok price but you can find better deals on bmw forums.

Have you see any recent posts I’m trying to find a comparable structure or payment (LH only found lower MSRP’d cars)

@samson is trying to help a buddy. I don’t think everyone piling on indicating this is a “bad” lease is fruitful. Let the market decide. The guy is a valued member on the forum. I think he knows what he’s doing and talking about.

If you go on bimmerpost, there is a 2018 cs m3 with msrp of 101k listed for 808 monthly with 3k incentives with only 2xx miles on it.

Completely agree. I think some members were trying to say that maybe the 5k (formerly 8k) due to seller was a little egregious, otherwise this presents an awesome opportunity for someone.

Honestly, if there were no money down, I probably would have seriously considered flying out to get the car myself. 496+ tax is an awesome deal, in my mind for the car. Just don’t have 5k to flush down the drain, at the moment. :frowning:

People have texted offering him “I’ll take the car right now $0 down, no transfer fee” I told him I’ll take his car at that rate! :joy:

Well, that would be the dream, wouldn’t it?!

Hopefully your friend is able to find someone making a reasonable offer real soon. Best of luck to him.

Best we got so far is $4,000, but minimum he wants is $5,000 if he can’t get it he’ll just ride it out. I think that’s why he was shooting for the stars at the beginning because people would ask for less regardless.

This just isn’t a very good deal. You have to put down $5k plus $500+ transfer fee and will likely need new very expensive tires right before turn in which is in barely over a year. Transfer takes at least a month to go through so depending on when payment is could easily be only 14 months which brings nearly a $950/mo payment.

It is, however, a great deal for your friend who just has to keep paying $500/month. Sorry but I don’t see you actually recouping much of that $8k. Shocked to see somebody offer $4k.

I sent that 4k offer because I think it is reasonable not because I want to ask for less. (5000 + 500)/16 + 496 = 839.75 which is a fair deal. There are lots of m3/m4 on bimmerpost in that range. (4000 + 500)/16 + 496 = 777.25 is a good deal. If it is a fair deal, it may take months to get rid of it. Anyway, good luck
