Hello all,
My corolla is due for return in March 2019. The original lease expiry was March 2018, but, I extended the lease twice for 6 months each and the revised lease expiry stands March 2019. I had consumed the complementary pre-inspection in Jan 2018 since I didn’t have the plan of extension back then. When I contacted TFS now, I was told that I get only one complementary inspection and I can’t get once again. I requested if I can pay and get it inspected. I was told ‘NO’. They asked me to take a series of photos before I return the vehicle as a proof of my vehicle condition.
Is it true I can’t get my vehicle inspected before return? Is the TFS representative telling me the truth? Can Toyota experts here help me? Are there any work around?
I know if you lease another Toyota they will usually overlook minor damage. I always traded my Toyota’s in early and got a new Toyota, so the dealership took care of everything for me.
My current Camry is all paid off and the lease ends in less than 30 days. I honestly never even cared to get the vehicle inspected, the car is in near perfect condition, 16k miles on it and I brought my car in for routine 6 month maintenance so they have an inspection report on file.
I actually just got new car insurance so I have to take the vehicle in for an inspection anyways this week through my insurance but I’m going to take a lot of pictures of the Camry when I leave it on one of the Toyota dealers lot. I hopefully end up getting a new Toyota lease but if not I’m only planning on paying the $350 disposition fee. If they try to hit me with anything extra I’ll fight it.
