Tesla Ordering Tips - And Most Other Reasonable Things Tesla

Nissan Kicks?

The electric automaker reported that completed sales dropped nearly 18%, to about 255,000 vehicles in the second quarter compared to the first three months of the year. Production fell 15% to 259,000.

I know its late to get a good lease since car need to be returned and cant buy at end of lease. Not sure what Tesla going to do with returned leases with 30k miles on it. Sell them in Auction?
Financing might be a better option since if one wants to resell it in 1 year or so. These EVs are holding their values quite good. Looking at M3SR
Cant get the $7500 rebate but just read IL has state rebate for $4k starting July 22 to October 22. Not sure what that even means if delivery is Dec 22…

Any other EV out there with better options like Kia or some other manufacturer eTron …

They’re going to add fsd and sell all of them on their website. Pretty sure idiots will pay it considering how fast inventory seems to use it

I like the idea but I fear California 10.25% sales tax would ruin the fun and leave some pain

All the used Model Y’s I see listed in my area by Tesla have FSD included. Interestingly enough, none of the Model 3’s (at least the RWD/SR+) I’ve seen have FSD.
Cheapest used Model Y in my area is a 2020 LR-Y with FSD and 23k miles for $77k.

So when are we going to see the next MY and M3 price hikes, doesn’t look like the recent slowed buying down in any way?

Only the top brass at Tesla will know. They had an increase pretty recently and it seems like towards the end of the quarter is a good bet. However it could be tomorrow or any other day going forward. Things are pretty backed up now, so putting an order in now is the best bet.

Well, he does have a lot of mouths to feed.

Hello Everyone,
I am currently holding a Tesla Model Y LR with an estimated delivery date of July 23-Aug 10, 2022.
Veh was reserved last year, Oct 2021. I am showing a price increase 7k for same vehicle/specs with delivery April 2023. I live in Orange County Ca.
Thinking a flip on this - Thoughts?

A 22 MYLR 5 seater is selling for around $72K right now, so I suspect you are sitting on between $10K and $14K in equity before TTL. It seems like a no brainer to take delivery… You can find a number of recommended online buyers in this thread. I do not suggest attempting a reservation transfer, just too risky.

However, don’t be surprised to see your EDD pushed back one or twice more.

By any chance, did you delay a previous option to deliver?

Hi z0lt3c,
That’s great news! Thank you so much for the feedback on this. No, this is the first delivery option. Its been pushed back several times.

Just for future reference is there a specific forum/thread for list of recommended online buyers?

Thank you Laker! Ill look into this when the time comes.
