Yes, new is lower by $1,000. I just texted him (no re yet). I just wasn’t sure if an adjustment is no big deal -or- they might refuse. I have no idea. It’s my first Tesla.
I think prices will hold firm and may continue to increase. The new discount is offset by the loss of the tax credit so net net, the cost of the Teslas is increasing.
If you get a moment, can you pull up 2020 TESLA MODEL Y 4D SUV PERFORMANCE? Thanks. I assume $44k-45k.
All of my down payment and financing has been processed. They told me I’ll get the $1,000 adjustment/refund but not for up to 60 days. Is that standard? I’m supposed to take delivery this week. Seems they could just wire back $1,000 from my wired down payment, no?
I would get it in writing if I were you.
My adjustments were done pre-financing.
Yes, I’m slightly worried about taking delivery before this is square — and of course trying to get ahold of someone after delivery about this.
I wonder if the Model Y goes into Rav4 XLE territory after tax credits? Right now its in X1/NX/Q3 territory.
Finally they are adding more functionality to the steering wheel dials:

I’ve been hoping for this for a while now.
Does not sound like an update that will apply to my legacy car. ![]()
Was a frog, now it’s a gecko. ![]()
Has more of a Model S look to it.
Looks darn slick imo, might have to move to jersey and get me an M3P when the refresh is out.
I dunno… looks like pretty big panel gaps there ![]()

Does the Tesla Model 3 SR RWD qualify for the Washington state EV sales tax exemption? A friend was just quoted at $535 per month on 36/10 with basic drive offs only. I’m seeing the same number in California and Oregon too using their generic calculator which tells me it’s not accounting for tax exemptions. He hasn’t put down a deposit yet to get access to the actual numbers and the Tesla showroom reps are useless - they are just using the default calculator. According to the LH Calc it should be $478 monthly with no sales tax as per Washington state law. Anyone leased one in this state and can share insights?
The first 20K or 25K is tax free. Rest is taxed. I had the same issue trying to get a quote that made sense from Tesla rep.
Yeah, trying to figure out what it means for leases. Should we assume there’s no sales tax on the monthly payment since the car is $44k?
I would have expected the lease payments to be tax free since the total of lease payments should be less than 25K. But its not clear how they handle this. I’ll be going back there tomorrow to spend more time with the rep.
Let me know what you find out. They said if you put a deposit down you can get access to their actual calculator that shows the breakdown.
