Red Model S with non-yoke at $80K and I’m in. Just got to wait for a demo in a month or two.

I can see this happening
Pre Covid price

Model S/Model X demo pricing has not been updated yet. I bet it will disappear fast when it’s updated. We are talking a model S in the $70’s.

Our current MX has FUSC, so it’s not a benefit I intend on forfeiting just to have the new shiny thing.

The RWD 3 is now within $1k of when I reserved mine in March 2021.

As a technical aside to this thread, I did a quick efficiency test of my M3RWD this morning. On a 30 mile drive with speeds ranging from 35 to 55 mph, I averaged 183 Wh/mi in the M3. This was actually a little bit better than I expected at the equivalent of about 5.5 mi/ kWh. I recall this was in the same range as the Chevrolet Bolt I had, which was the highest efficiency car I remember measuring in this loop.

I get similar results in town :+1:

On highway though, I was a bit disappointed. Its not like I did not know the highway efficiency and range are lower but the practical aspects were not understood until I took my first trip to Miami. Basically, a roughly 270 mile range would be close to 220 realistically, which I knew beforehand. But, in reality, you won’t wait until the range is completely used so in real world, one would want to go to a supercharger when the remaining range is 50ish (depends on individual of course). That actually makes it a 170 mi ‘usable’ range on highway trips, between charges.

Not the end of the world and I plan accordingly now but did not think about this before buying.

So far, I like the power delivery throughout the speed range. I don’t like the steering feel. Its a hit (rarely) or miss (mostly). My last 2 cars were a BMW and AR so this is a downgrade from that perspective

Efficiency will def drop alot with speed (as of course it does with most any car), but the “tank” in an EV is so small that it starts to matter alot more than in an ICE. I havent been able to do a real test at higher speeds, but a shorter one seemed to indicate something around 220ish Wh/mi was in the cards…in other words much higher consumption.

I’ve been watching infiniti leases hard for my brother. Any chance that there is a good lease WITH a buy out option for a tesla that ya’ll know of?
