Some Camaro LT1 data points

Is yours AWD? That’s the only way I could see that happening.

Edit…I forgot …I think yours was the six speed, that must be miserably hard to launch with the tires that come from the factory.

I can say for sure that my wife’s AWD M235 (which on paper is a high 12 low 13 second car according to magazine articles) was absolutely obliterated by the LT1 at anything other than a dead stop, and then only until medium speeds.

The LT1 was a manual. 335i xDrive is auto ( :-1:)

That’s why you fools shoulda bought 2! Haha

Jk no one knew we would be able to sell for $3-4k equity. Or I likely would have got a 3rd

The auto LT1 has beat everything I have tried to race from a dig, even my buddies hellcat on stock tires.

I love being able to at least keep up with cars that are 10xs more money here in Miami! My tires are beat from it im sure. Good thing it’s gone next week

Does the auto have launch control? If so, then the stock tires are for sure toast.

Haha I’m keeping this for awhile there’s nothing that compares and I pay more a month for my zero turn lol.

Yes, it does and to be honest there isn’t a lot of tire spin. It grabs and goes.

Turns out the Camaro is more expensive to insure than a M550i, or M4. WTF Geico.

Liberty mutual quoted me half of what I was paying for a 330 GT

My Chevrolet bolt cost more to insure then the Camaro.

Yeah, the 10A in this thing is literally just punch it from idle and go.

Right now I pay per 6 months via onepay, mid 5-600 for two Volvo’s with Geico. For one volvo and a M4 it would’ve been mid 700s. Camaro and a Volvo shot that up to low 8s. My insurance has been perpetually cheap, my volvo is 4x what my Nissan was, and yes it’s still under my name, but who cares.

I had the strangest “offer” come in on mine. A dealer I swung by looking for a truck was interested in buying me out but low balled me unless I could roll in a new vehicle…you know how that goes. Truck wasn’t there yet & I wasn’t interested so I went on my way. A few days later the GM thought about it and proposed sending the Camaro to ACV(?) auction on my behalf. While/when it sold the dealer would put me in a new car, free to use, until a truck I was gunning for finally came in. No demo or timeframe was discussed though.

I don’t mind the insurance it’s the gas that had me crying. I drove around 800 miles a month with 10 mpg at most and with gas at $3.30 that’s almost the amount of the lease payment. I can’t even imagine CA where gas is like ~$4

That was a heavy heavy foot at 10 mpg

half of the time I was in manual keeping rpm at 3k so I can hear the endless pops when letting off

I know a few of the early devs at ACV. Company just went public after crazy growth and success. It’s a dealership online auto auction and in the wake of covid they sky rocketed. Dealers going to make a few quick bucks and get you to your number. Probably saw other markets where the cars are going for much and more and you both profit.

I guess I’m an outlier but I don’t miss mine at all. No BSM or auto emergency braking grinded my gears when I drove it. I’ve become too reliant on BSM I hate not having it

I especially got the BS mirrors and had them on since taking delivery. they were a lifesaver
