Does anyone know if you can drive a car after accepting the offer and while waiting to get picked up? I am assuming you can’t on long distance but how about a commute to work?
They clearly say you have 250 miles to use.
Of which I used 249 of!
Someone posted that they allowed an extra 50 miles.
Oh I’m sure they wouldn’t shit on a deal over 50 miles which on the average car is practically a rounding error.
Did you loose money in the deal? Which car was it that you flipped and what was your monthly lease payment?
I didn’t sell my 2016 RWD Infiniti Q50 Silver Sport but I did get two quotes from Carvana and Vroom. Carvana offered $23,516 and Vroom offered $22,000. The residual is 47% which is $25,615. I leased it for 39 Months and they discounted it $10,000 so the lease wasn’t a terrible option.
I just wanted to give everyone a data point on the SS Infiniti Q50. With 6 months left on my lease my car is already $2000 under the residual with the most generous offer. These Q50 cars are nice cars but their resale value is abysmal. If you bought a Q50 it could be financially disastrous for you. The only way to get one is to lease it.
I might lease a Red Sport Q50 with 400 Hp in December when this lease runs out. I should be able to get one for under $400 a month with 15K miles a year and zero drive off then. They have basically abandoned the Q50 now. They just released a new Q50 “Signature” model and it doesn’t even have navigation as an option. You can’t get Apple carplay or Android Auto on any Infiniti vehicles at all. Kind of crazy and that is one of the reasons their cars have such terrible resale values.
I don’t think that’s the only reason the RV’s are in the toilet…
How does Vroom payment works though? I have a personal car I went to sell but is there pricing accurate? Like it doesn’t change at pickup or anything? I put my condition of the car accurately and just but do they give you a check at pick up or some other way? I just don’t want to hand over a car with no payment? I know this is a off topic question. Vroom is offering $1500 more on my car vs Carvana/Carmax
We issue payment once we pick up the vehicle. If you choose a wire payment, you can expect wire confirmation within 24-48 hours (or 48-72 hours if received on a weekend). If you choose to be paid by check, we will issue and send the check via FedEx within 24-48 hours.
I doubt any infiniti is worth more than the residual at the end. Their value sinks like a rock. They make great leases however.
Still waiting here however I did just jet off on vacation right after car got picked up! I’ll have to send follow up email…
Just to share my (current/ongoing) experience here…
Took the plunge, accepted Vroom’s fairly strong offer (1k higher than Carvana), submitted paperwork, vehicle was picked up Wed noon, immediately submitted the Bill of Lading, confirmed via phone that they’d received…
Thus far, no payoff of my loan has occurred, and, as such, no payment has been deposited into my bank acct. Spoke to a rep yesterday who indicated it would be completed EOD, didn’t happen… then spoke to a rep today who indicated that Accounting had not taken any action and that there were no “notes” regarding the sale, whatever that means.
So… we shall see. Hoping Monday things shake loose, but a smidgen uneasy.
Any update on your payment, I’m literally in the same boat as you. Picked up the car Wednesday night for me submitted bill of landing and I’m still waiting on a payment. I’ve been calling daily now and I’m starting to get kind of worried
Try emailing. I found the people at the specific email address to have more info than the regular phone reps.
Everything paid now and deposited my check!
Vroom direct deposit the equity the same day they picked up my car. They also provided the FedEx tracking number for the payoff check to the lender. It took 10 business days for the lender to close the account.
Best to get the tracking number and have the lender trace the incoming payment
So my car was picked up Wednesday night and I immediately sent bil of landing and confirmed over the phone next day that they got it. As of now it’s in accounting no update. I chose wire transfer but still have no payments at all
Same situation here - was told this morning that it was still in Accounting and that my payment was “in the que.” I asked if that meant a matter of days or something shorter, and the rep indicated that it should be today… alas, nothing has happened.
I chose wire transfer, as well, FYI.
I’ll check again in the AM, but I’m roughly a step or two away from flying to the facility to pick my car back up.
I’m a few phone calls from hiring a lawyer to get me paid. Not very pleased at all. My parents sold a car to carvana and the process of as seamless
