Sold one to DRIVEWAY.COM

If they’re doing that, take that ASAP. Getting $11k for a leased Volvo is no brainer.

They prob won’t cut you the equity check until you give them the title, which is fine. You’ll just have to wait a few weeks for the title to come

Yeah, I feel like I want the money…even if it means I have to buy a new car in this horrible market. I figure that I’ll overpay for the new car, but I’ll be overpaying with money that I never should have gotten…so it cancels out. That’s my rationalization anyway.

Because Volvo will not accept a check from a 3rd party on your behalf, I’m pretty sure. They look for any reason to hold onto their cars.
They would take a check from a Volvo dealer if you were doing buyout there.

I have sold two cars now and both times they never did any inspection physical or virtual, paid me and send a truck to pick my car. Is it cause of the low mileage. I had 12500 on my 2019 Genesis, and 24000 on my 2019 Stelvio.

FYI my Jeep got picked up today. Entire process start to finish was about 5 weeks.

They honored the buy quote from 5 weeks ago?

Is this the Jeep that started it all? :goat:

They pay fast, but then take their time to pick the cars up, apparently.

I just got a response with a “we need the reg under your name” even though I told them several times it’s a lease. Will they just understand it won’t be reg under my name?

In Florida my lease is registered in my name with my address.

I’m in NJ, sent them the reg, it’s not leased in my name and never will be. Is it just a NJ thing?

Yep. It took about 14 days to get the paperwork after I said “OK”. The rest of the time was waiting for them to pick it up.

It is! Or was.

Anyone in NJ sell to them? They just text me again today saying the reg has to be in my name. Every lease I’ve ever had in NJ was under the finance company.

FYI. My payoff to CCAP is showing in my transaction history, but the account is still open - called CCAP and they said it is “in review, pending close.” Never heard of that before…

My first took 2 months to close. 2nd one was closed next day after payment. It’s a crap shoot.

Shopping around my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited w/Tech&Tow - 24k miles.
Purchase Price $20k from CCAP

  • Driveway - $28.6k
  • Carmax - $27.8k
  • Carvana - $25.4k
  • Vroom - $23.4k

And I was thinking of extending my lease…ends in June. :grimacing:

Got an offer 3.11.22
Uploaded docs 3.14.22
Still waiting on inspection
Called in few times but keep getting the run around
Was told 5 to 7 days for inspection since upload docs date
Will see how it goes.

Their offers are higher, but the process is slow as sh*t, at least for me. I got the runaround for 2 weeks with someone telling me the offer was good but they couldn’t buy it, then they could. Did the inspection and they said 2-3 week wait for virtual purchasing appt, which could be a month or longer. I’ll wait because I can, but if you want to get paid soon, go elsewhere. I’m concerned CCAP cuts off 3rd party buyouts before Driveway actually buys it.

17 days from accepting their offer to account paid and closed. Waiting for pick up.
