Sold one to DRIVEWAY.COM

That was your experience, not mine. So far, been half assed, maybe they can turn it around that quickly, maybe not. It will depend on how much patience you have.

Yup same thing
Emailed customer care , NO RESPONSE.
Asked for supervisor, NO ONE IS AVAILABLE!
Lol,God forbid havint got to the part where they cant buy my vehicle.
I will be waiting as well.

This^, will they buy it? Good chance, but the unknown, non responses, and confused people there might make you want to go somewhere else.

Called again after not hearing anything after inspection. Finally got through to a ā€˜Level 2’ agent who emailed me back.

ā€œYour paperwork is estimated to be overnighted in approximately 2 weeks. Since we have a large volume of incoming and outgoing paperwork each day, we are prioritizing it in the order of the date we received the requested documents.ā€

That’s where I’m at currently. No sign of the paperwork as of yet.

Of course it was my experience. Why do you think I questioned yours? Because I replied to your post?

No, just saying your timeframe is not necessarily what it will be, but mine might not be either. Results may vary for whatever reason, luck of the draw I guess?

Sharing the deal to say thank you for this group! I never heard of Driveway before reading about them on this group, and I wasn’t even sure they are legit if it wasn’t for the group! Sold my 2019 MDX for $5k over Carvana’s offer, and the process took less than 1 week start to finish! Great experience!

Received the inspection link today, woohoo

My timeline:
3/8 - Initiated ā€˜acceptance’ over text
3/9 - Driveway asked for scan/picture of title, registration, odometer, driver’s license, address. Submitted to DW all via text
3/9 - Received link for photo inspection, took about a dozen pics to a webapp called ā€œPAVEā€. Saw the Lithia logo in the app in several spots.
Took pictures, completed and submitted the photo inspection.
3/10 - Asked for status update, was told it’s now in Tier 2 (basically it’s in God’s hands now)
3/13 - Received an email saying the offer is expiring. Called 800 number, was told the expiration warning basically doesn’t matter, and that it’s in Tier 2, expect a call back for an ā€œinspection appointmentā€. Does this mean an in-person inspection? Who knows. Based on the feedback from this forum, I figure I’d give it two weeks from accepting the offer before calling for an update again.
3/22 - Today. Still nothing. I’ll give them another day before calling. God sure is slow these days.

A BMW dealer near me called for a pick up and they don’t even need a truck to move my car lol
They are the only Lithia dealer in the DMV area.

So quick update on CCAP weirdness - apparently they mailed the title to Driveway on the 16th but have still not closed my account. Apparently account closure can take up to 30 days, which seems wild. My advice to anyone here is don’t cancel your auto pays or withhold payments since it takes so long - that is eerily close to it becoming a credit reporting issue if you do.

The last 4xe I sold Carmax (1/21/22) CCAP didn’t close my account until The first week of March.

I paid my next payment on 2/16/2022 and was showing a payment due for 3/16/2022.

When I called in, I had to make a $2.50 payment (they refused to waive) and closed my account the next day.

I should be receiving a refund for my February payment any day now.

So that’s the heck of it! I asked if there was any payment pending and they said no!

I had to eventually ask for a supervisor. Otherwise CCAP would owe me two monthly payments at this point.

The crazy thing is that they didn’t clear the $2.50 short payment with the $48x payment I made 2/16.

Not sure who is keeping their books.

 Super. Thanks for the heads up.

I probably called 8 different times before I got it cleared.

They closed my account the next day after receiving payoff. I got lucky, I guess
