Just picked up my Jeep Compass. They paid 24xxx lease owed was $21xxx so pocketed about $2900. Don’t understand their reasoning behind paying so much but whatever. On my way to the Audi dealership now
They make money on high rate subprime lending. They get people into cars most others won’t.
Carvana is coming to pick up my 2019 Kia Niro LX tomorrow.
Online buyout - $18222
Dealer Lease Buyout from Kia - $16900
Carvana Quote - $18400
+$1500
Dealer Lease Buyout from Kia took about 1 week to fax it to Carvana. Had to do a 3-way call. Also had to call in today and be on hold for 2.5 hours for them to verify they had it and schedule a pickup.
Also a quick question to people who have sold to Carvana in Cali. They said to take the plates off, I thought in California it goes with the car? Also, for the Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability for the DMV, it asks for First and Last name, did you guys just put CARVANA?
i don’t think so but maybe you can ask and they can arrange something to help
Yes, I tracked my truck that I sold them a few weeks ago just out of curiosity. They had it listed for sale about 10 days after they bought it from me, and they sold it within about a week after listing it. From what I can tell, their gross profit (the difference between what they paid me and what they sold it for) was about $2300. As others have noted, they are probably making a ton on the financing.
Is carvana payoff quote different than what I see on BMWFS page for myself? Any input appreciated .
How’d you track it? Just searched for your car’s year/make/model and mileage?
Yes…It was pretty easy to find
You sure you wanna deal with AudiFinancial? to my knowledge they are the same as VWCredit. Forget making any money when you get out of your lease! you’ll likely pay out of pocket!
Folks! Just wondering if there’s a sweet spot of selling used car. <30k miles? <40k miles? Got a crazy offer and I’m wondering if the time is now. Not later. I wanted to wait til December to get a good deal on a new lease and get rid of the current ride 3 months before the end of the lease but with this new offer… I don’t know what to do.
Been checking since March and this is the most they offered ever. Unreal.
Have you tried to find a good lease? Personally I would not risk it if the profit is good good.
Well, I was gonna wait but now I’m scrambling. It was a total shock. Now, I have equity to get into a better lease even if I’m staying with the same make/model. You’re right though, gotta have a better lease to jump ship.
Just check and shop around if you find something decent then jump on it. You never know what is going to happen. If it last long enough you might be able to get out early if the second lease!
They only gave me 3 days to lock it in. That’s just not enough time!!! hahaha
You can lock in and then drag feet. See my timeline up thread.
Leave plates on
Chat w Carvana online and they will give you the name and address to enter in the online DMV release form. Don’t even need live chat, the bot will do.
Sorry if it’s been asked, but I couldn’t find it. Has anyone had issues with Carvana not buying out your lease from NMAC?
Yes! Carvana will not buy NMAC lease. Vroom will. I sold my leased infiniti to vroom recently.
Have any of you experience longer than normal wait times for them to review the documents that have been submitted to them already?
