How quickly do you normally hear back from Carvana, following accepting the offer?
Its saying the offer is only good for one more day, despite the fact I’ve ‘accepted’ it and provided documentation and its been more than the 1-2 business days they quote…
Usually pretty quick. You could try pinging their site chat, they’ve got the power to override documentation or tell you what you’re missing. Did you submit the official payoff quote?
Also just sold my leased 2017 Civic to Carvana today. Only had 11k miles on it since I travel pretty frequently for work, Vroom offered me $1500 over my payoff amount and Carvana offered me $3000! Definitely worth it to shop around. Had the money in my bank account 5 min after they picked my car up.
Got my quotes from Carvana and Vroom for CR-V. Vroom came in $670 more than Carvana. I haven’t called Honda Financial on a dealer buyout but my calculated buyout is about even with Vroom’s offer not including taxes. This is unbelievable. I was worried when my dad told me we are over the lease term miles by 2500. It is good to have options.
Sold my 2016 Ford Focus Electric to Carvana. Vroom offered $1400 less. Carvana offered $2k above KBB. Total we got paid $1,100 to drive the car for 3 years. $31k new, dealer dropped to $23k, $5k state rebate, $7500 federal rebate, 0% financing. Sold for $11,600.
Ridiculously simple, they didn’t even look at the car at pickup. Literally checked the odometer, signed docs, removed plates and they drove off in it. Took less than 10 minutes.
I don’t understand the no inspection process. They pay you and drive off… what happens when they get the car and see a nice big scratch or dent, that you didn’t mention in the application? They charge you? Obviously they aren’t trusting you blindly…??
Sent my 2014 Kia Optima last night. Lady only checked the VIN and odometer, then gave me a check. Got over $1k more than dealer trade-in, which is nice, but the values drop drastically. Same car in October was appraised at $15.5k, now $14k.
They apparently are. Same process for when I sold my Civic to them. They just checked the odometer, took a couple pictures, didn’t scrutinize anything, and off they were. Didn’t drive the car or anything.
Trying to push a sale through Carvana involving a payoff to Fifth Thirds Bank.
Submitted all the paperwork about 36 hours ago and deal is still pending verification and scheduling. I tried to call them up for status but there was a hold time “greater then 30 minutes.” I hung up after about 45 minutes waiting.
2nd vehicle sale to Carvana-- This time I get the flatbed for pickup. They have apparently ended the uber policy given current conditions. I purchased the JGC to get out of a Durango lease and then Carvana offered me more for the JGC then I paid at the dealer.
I have a friend that works at Carvana. He (and most employees it seems) are getting hours cut back by 50% as of tomorrow. They were told it will be this way until the market is back after the virus scares are away. I would work with them asap as it sounds like the wait times will only get worse starting tomorrow.
I was bored at work today and needed a good laugh every time i have ever requested a quote from Carvanna for whatever. It has always been a low ball offer i know there is a virus scare going on so that may have played a part. My current car in Picture Dodge Charger ScatPack they offered $25K Last week Vroom offered $34K so if i was actually selling this would be a hard choice lol.
My Carvana offer has been reduced by over $2000 or so in the past 2 weeks. Stayed pretty sold there for a bit. Honda Accord 2019. Anyone else getting much lower offers now? Not sure if they’re suddenly lowballing or people are flooding the market or something else. Kind of blows.
