On the hybrid, my understanding is the federal tax credit doesn’t belong to the person who leases the car but the lessor company. So do they factor in any benefit of the tax credit into the lease?
When I leased my Fiat 500e, FCA passed the full credit on to me. Not sure if they are still doing it now.
I appreciate the honesty on the Pacifica Hybrid lease. They do lease horribly.

It’s not all that bad. I managed to get a decent lease on a 18 Pacifica Hybrid limited last summer.
Fully loaded 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Limited with advanced safetech and 18inch wheel.
Got a lease hacker score of 10.2 years. With 36mo 15k/year, the monthly payment with tax is under 1% of MSRP. I’m happy with this price considering it’s a minivan.
Residual and MF are terrible. But Chrysler capital gave the full $7500 federal tax credit as incentive. And there’s a lease cash and $1000 conquest cash if you already own an electric car.

Unless you’re doing write off on your taxes then I would recommend to finance.
Especially if there’s big rebates for purchasing.
This is the response I got from Glendale Chrysler when I asked that question: “The Federal Tax rebates of $7,500 are applied at the time of the lease (you will see rebates at $11,750). If you purchase the vehicle then you will have to file it on your taxes and receive up to $7500.”
may I ask which dealership?
Chrysler capital passes the $7500 federal tax credit in the form of lease credit.
