Signed v2-Chevy Camaro LT1 - MSRP $42370 - 39/10 $315/Month + Tax. First and Plates DAS

Here’s a pretty good video from Hot Rod Magazine showing the difference between the 6MT and the A10 (on 2016s) when both of them are wrung out pretty hard by a competent driver.

Spoiler alert----

In the end 12.2@115 for the A10 and 12.4@115 for the 6MT. So, there isn’t a massive difference in the end, but the A10 can hit that performance with just about any goofball behind the wheel (@spockvr6) whereas the 6MT takes a lot more skill to get there.

Not to hijack the thread but I’m trying to join the club here!

There’s only $1500 conquest for west coast now? Anyone know definitively?

There’s no longer $500-750 regional cash like previous as I recall before yes?

I believe the conquest/loyalty cash is $1500 or $1750 depending on region. The additional $500 that is available is for healthcare/first responder.

If one has GM supplier there is an additional $750 rebate that can be used but it cannot be stacked with the $500 healthcare to the best of my knowledge.

Ok that was my understanding also!

Sometimes these Chevy dealers have me doubting my own research :joy:. Sneaky slithery little snakes.

So it’s $2250 total if you have conquest and supplier? Or does the $750 goes into the pre-incentive

Yes. but I believe some lucky areas may get $2500 with those two (if that area gets the extra $250 for loyalty/conquest).

My area is definitely only $1500 and then another $750 for the supplier rebate.

If you have an amenable dealer, they should also give you Supplier pricing on the car itself, And hopefully also low/zero dealer fees. If you can get all those things to align, you can strike it right with one of these cars.

If you check out the contract posted above by @Bostoncarconcierge, all the deets are there re: a supplier type deal. One can see that a huge MSRP discount is not needed for a stellar deal. This makes this a win/win deal as the customer and dealer can both leave happy. (Unless the dealer is greedy and wants $5k+ MSRP like some I found around FL).

  • $2500 total rebates (this region has $1750 instead of $1500 in the loyalty/conquest cash…lucky devil), plus the additional $750 GM supplier rebate.

  • The agreed upon value of the vehicle appears to be the supplier price or slightly better (~$1657 under MSRP)

  • $75 dealer fee (GM Supplier is supposed to cap doc fees at $75, but not all dealers do…)

  • The low rent charge ($333.84) indicates that base MF of 0.00013 is still being used.

Awesome! Yes I dissected it but these Chevy salesman sometimes have me doubting myself .

Reminds me of a child who is covered in powdered sugar and you’re asking them where the powdered sugar went and they just adamantly pretend they have no idea what you’re talking about.

Yeah west coast sadly has slightly less incentives for these but still amazing deals. Hopefully have one locked down here soon so I can do donuts in the casino garages. :sunglasses:

I went to get one on the last Camaro craze. Wasn’t a fan of the car but at the right price it was a steal. OMG the level of ineptitude and lying on their part. First had to do a credit check which I instantly regretted, they wanted 5k down and payments of 400-500 lol. They said the lease deal only is for current lessees. Anyways I left and on the parking lot he’s like yeah I can do 0 down and less than 400. Still walked because it was too much and I felt annoyed at their bs.

Why did you go to the dealer and do a credit check without numbers?

Thats the worlds biggest waste of time.

0 down and less than $400 is the goal… why walk away if you eventually beat them at their game?

Go here and search for incentives:

Make sure to use zip code of where you will register the car.

Yeah that’s where I usually get my research/info from.

Was just needing confirmation I wasn’t crazy, especially on the semantics.

Was last year when you could do better and that does not include taxes or any other fees. I wasn’t sold on the car and was annoyed at their bs. I could be wrong on the price, was probably 1-2k down.

I got a white Camaro in NY that’s $286 a month and 4k to me if anyone wants it.

If by 4k you mean 4k pennies, lock me in

Add a few zeros to your pennies and we got a deal.

I don’t think any bank would give me 4k 100 penny rolls

I only got a small discount off MSRP, and I was fine with it. The car has all my must-haves, the dealer was awesome, and it was actually real and not floating around on paper.

I just closed in on 300 miles and filled the tank for the first time. I’ve been enjoying it immensely other than the sound system, which sucks.

I had the base sound system in my first one and to my uneducated years it was fine, but I do have the Bose in this one and it does sound notably better.

And yes, with the right incentives you don’t really need a big discount on one of these to make it very much worthwhile. It’s just finding a dealer tgat is not over MSRP and that will honor supplier pricing that is the trick.

The key is to find a dealer that has salary employees with no commission… they work on volume sales and don’t worry about the bottom line (as much).

P.S.: I saw some you talking about the A10 transmission above and I did some research and the LT1s get a different variant than the ZL1 (and maybe SS?), I assume it’s a weaker model that doesn’t need to handle 650HP and probably shifts slower.
