The structure is weird, because of some back-and-forth with the dealer on who pays taxes (they never worked with VA DMV). The initial deal had ~$100 payment and $2500 cashback.
I signed this at the end of July. I tried to replicate it for a friend of mine but failed. And now programs are probably dead.
I won’t share dealer info at their request.
I got the cashback check in the mail today.
This one has a Northern Lights metallic exterior that I originally tried to get.
My previous Ariya hack:
Updated. Posted the final version of the spreadsheet based on the revised contract, and fixed minor MSRP mismatch. The table matches the contract to a penny now.
A comment here regarding VA taxes and incentives.
Even though Virginia is taxing the sale price, dealers can at their discretion make incentives appear on the invoice as a discount. I believe it has some consequences to their accounting and the importance of it may vary state-by-state. But I was pleasantly surprised taxes were better than my original estimates on all my Ariya deals.
Had to re-sign the contract today and mail it back to the dealer to pay VA. taxes correctly. It made the final numbers even better for me by roughly 250-300. Dealer ate the first payment
What in the world will we all do when the insanity ends . I assumed your post was missing something but just wow! Seriously congrats on a job well done. Your fleet of progressively cheaper Ariyas is really impressive. I now feel embarrassed to be telling people about my EQS payment.
I was trying pretty hard to get eqs suv sub-15k one pay on 24/7.5k Ariya have been like a consolation price for me;) I guess I would try for EQS again in a year from now… too many EVs. In meanwhile waiting new Volvo season too. There’s always something to score…
