Signed! New 2024 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo 4S/$155k MSRP/$717 Base Monthly w/$2800 DAS But…Ended Up Being $0 DAS!?!

I appreciate sharing your insight for all to see.

:100::100:- Not that I am looking at a Taycan, but for those who are looking to get into one, what would a reasonable discount off MSRP look like on a '24? 10% + rebates?

Thanks Scott, but I respectfully disagree. Had I not started the negotiations where I did, this Thread would not exist and I wouldn’t have the car sitting in my garage. In fact, I had 2 other dealers working with me on Sport Turismo GTS deals with discounts just over 30%, but I missed out on the one bc I was second in line, and the other ended up being more than I wanted to pay (higher msrp car). I’m certainly no broker, and don’t act like I have all the intel, but I just wanted share a data point for the community, which I thought was the point of this forum.

Ok so dumb question here - why would at least two separate dealers agree to $20k+ off sticker on Taycan CTs? Link below was a different dealer than where OP got this done. I assume, based on this being negative $18k (and I assume you know, being an actual Porsche dealer), that the linked terms would also have been negative. Trying to understand for learning not to beat anyone over the head. Thank you.

Edit: seems like OP basically has same question.

To be clear, you’re saying you were offered 30% PLUS 22,500 in rebates on NEW, ZERO MILE, NON-DEMO GTS’s?

I’m not saying not to share, but like @nohkes said, sometimes this has the opposite effect.

30.6% plus $7500 New GTS

Well, the same thing went down with all those unicorn Audi RS etron GT deals too

So either that’s a loaner or they were including rebates in the discount…

That’s my point and that’s the “danger” that no one else here seems to care about.

The LH effect is simple: You make a comment that you had 30% off a GTS, people see it, think it’s possible, but in reality it wasn’t 30% off.

Okay, so it’s like 22% off, which is still great, but it’s not 30%.

For the record, I’m happy for you, I’m just speaking about the side effects which are very real.

And my posting by no means is meant to be disrespectful. Brokers like you, and some others, are an awesome resource to us here and we appreciate your insights and guidance

The whole point of this forum is to showboat YOUR payment lol

No point in suppressing information- dude got a great deal and posted it -

Brokers should not advocate in favor of suppressing awesome posts

If so then the site becomes a lead generator for brokers and pictures of cars

Either they are really motivated to move them or they were internally written down to not be as big a loser deal. Or there is more to the story where they are going to hit you up for dealer add-ons later. I can only speculate. Your deal is only $7500 in the red, so I can see why some dealers might be okay rolling a unit at that just to not be sitting on it when 25s arrive.

I’m not suggesting the info should be suppressed, I’m adding information and suggesting it should be shared but with more context, which is that there is

  1. No trunk money
    and
  2. This is a hard 15k+ actual loss

Not a hypothetical loss like 10% off an iX, but an actual, hard, cash basis loss.

I say this so that people trying to replicate understand how realistic or not this is

They won’t listen regardless - I do note there are some particularly distasteful classless people on this forum

They’ll do any backhanded maneuver

Sick deal @Kief Congratulations ! Its an insane deal and you did awesome !
$18k or $20k hard loss to dealer or not, history on LH has seen higher hard loss deals to dealer and they do occur. Its awesome luck on OPs end and thats about it. Enjoy in great health and like someone above asked, do tell us how it compares to the RS !
