I dropped it off at the dealer right before I left town so I haven’t received the final bill. Based on the documentation I have that there are no extra charges, I expect to only be billed for the disposition fee.
From a former CS owner to another, congrats Kief! I need to dump the Lucid and get one of these
One of these days I’ll suck it up, spend a little more, and get myself a Poorshe of my own. One day…
But seriously, amazing deal! congrats!
@dacarez is it safe to assume this is the deal you recently posted / handed off? Maybe I missed it in the avalanche of replies haha. Curious b/c if so it helps answer some of the questions I still had about that one. OP negotiating another 50% off that is insane, amazing and well done!
incentive stack was different – dude unlocked another couple grand –
yes, yes it is. @kief got another $11k of straight discount off, plus the Welcome to Porsche (that I wouldn’t have been eligible for)
Not quite. See below.

Awesome deal! Are the 22,500 and the welcome to porsche monthly programmatic rebates?
I meant he halved the payment from what @dacarez had already negotiated, went from $1300’ish to $717 (assuming from getting another $11k straight off). Curious how OP managed to negotiate that, maybe took a hostage from the dealer GM’s family, in which case he and his wife would be more akin to Bonnie and Clyde than the IKEA commercial ![]()
OP, just reading through the thread again on my computer vs phone and noticed this dp (data point). Is this how you got the extra $11k discount? Would be nicer (and maybe more replicable) than taking a hostage ![]()
lol, no hostage or dp (down payment if that’s what you mean). You start high and see who is going to bite…several dealers just wouldn’t even respond back, and those who did, know you’re a serious buyer based on your knowledge and negotiation skills. You have to be committed to take the car, none of this let me think about it or let me talk to my wife bs.
4:21pm, and still no call from the dealer or PFS ![]()
For what it’s worth, I sent this to three Porsche dealers and they are all beyond confused how or why this deal was done unless there was some special circumstance surrounding this particular car that would make them okay with a hard cash loss of over $15,000.
I caution everyone, don’t start emailing Porsche dealers asking for 20% off + rebates on new Taycan’s, there is something unbeknownst to OP or any of us about why this deal was done as I have confirmed there is no trunk money or anything else that could have supported this kind of deal.
It’s all great for OP, and I’m thrilled for him, but let’s all behave and try not to make every Porsche dealers life miserable trying to replicate this.
Too late Scott, I have had ChatGPT email every single dealer in the country.
I might be the only one who still worries about deals like this being posted publicly ruining more realistic deals for other people because of the very real “Leasehackr Effect”, it’s not good for the community when low-effort people go making blanket “match this” offers across the nation, and I know that you more than anyone know that.
Every OP gets inundated with PMs saying “copy of contract please so I can match” like it’s friggin Target price matching Amazon

Is it possible that there was a VIN specific rebate or back end bonus tied to the sale of the vehicle? How are these CT selling, btw?
I think too much disclosure of unicorn sometimes has a chilling effect on deals, rather than a segue to unicorn deals.
Edited my comment to clarify, I assume anyone with the skills to land a unicorn deal like this would laugh at even the suggestion of a down payment ![]()

There is no additional money after the lease rebate, EV rebate, and welcome to Porshe rebate. This is a negative $18k deal once you factor everything in. including holdback.
