Picked up a 2024 that had been sitting locally at the end of the year. A 12% discount on a Sport S with Convenience and Safety was all I was shooting for, and more than one dealer was willing to play ball. I decided to go with the folks who were closest. I missed having a wrangler and really wanted a soft top, figured dealers would be willing to deal on those especially at this time of year.
Please stop DMing me asking for the dealer info. They literally do not have a single wrangler left on their lot and programs have changed
Nice work - congrats! Is 24/7500 the sweet spot in terms of residual, etc? Also, could you break down the incentives? Iām seeing a number of similar units advertised in the high $30s with discounts and incentives factored in, so it seems like this might be easily replicated per your suggestion above.
Wow. Nice deal. Inspired me to take a run at one of these closest to me.
Any reason you prefer the soft top over the hard top? Looking at this being my first wrangler so curious here as I was looking for hard top for safety/security reasons.
Great deal. Also in MA. I have a ā23 Sahara h/t but was trying to surprise my soon to graduate daughter with a 4XE in the new year. During the last week w/ a ton of aged inventory still sitting around, I reached out to a bunch of dealers in MA, RI and NH. Not one would come close to 10% pre incentives never mind 12%. Although I was focused on a hardtop. I figured the threat of the Fed tax credit going away and lease support on 24ās ending Jan 2 would motivate. Nada. Congrats.
Iāve had a few jeeps recently. My 4XEās where all hardtops but I decided to go soft on my Gladiator. It was so much easier and fun to push the top back. They donāt look as good but my kids really enjoyed it.
I am finding the same thing (MA & RI) - lots of inventory and if car gurus data is correct, many vehicles have been on the lot for 9 months or more. Still, no one seems willing to come close to 10%. This might have been a unicorn deal - well done OP.
I used CarEdge. Within 100 miles of me (just outside Boston), there are 400 ānewā 4XEs that have been on lots for 250+ days. Most look to be Sahara. After 90, that starts to hurt but dealers are under water on these due to Stellantisā price increases over last two years. Iām assuming majority of lease support will dry up when December program ends Jan 2 and with most dealers closed Jan 1, Iām surprised most just donāt take the loss and write it off.
The only thing I can think of is that they are holding out for some sort of dealer support for a fire sale than what is currently available? With a new admin coming in that is anti EV it seems risky though. Iād love to hear from the dealers or brokers here who are more knowledgeable about what happens when a car is on the lot for 500 days?
Ive been inspired by a cpl 4xe deals posted here lately and have been reaching out to dealers with ones on lot 350 plus days to do a deal similar to what brokers on here offer from time to time. Not one reply. Not one. Another user here kindly hooked me up with dealer he worked with. No reply. I get you donāt want to eat a big loss but thereās like 500 of these things sitting on lots within 100 miles of me that have been there over 6 months and prob 300 over a year (just sport or Willyās Iām not looking at higher trims). At some point reality has ti set in and a bad deal is better than no deal, no!
I reached out to a LOT of dealers and was originally targeting a Sahara. I wanted to be at under 200 effective so I was asking for 14% off. Dealers that did reply were straight up offended. I had multiple replies that basically said " Iām going to lose almost 6K on this car, please be reasonable" which is why I switched my focus to a loaded sport.
As far as I can tell, if you add the safety and convenience packages they are very similar to a Sahara and this is basically a runaround town toy for me. I did want to know if I was about to reverse into a car coming down the street when I pull out of my driveway (safety package was non-negotiable) but couldnāt care less about LED headlights when this car will likely never get more than 50 mi from my house.
@Bostoncarconcierge - I expect youāll have no issue replicating or beating this same exact deal on a 392 including wiping out the negative equity on my 9K over mileage '22 4Xe.
Yeah I settled on the sport with hard top and convenience package in non white. I donāt really want Willyās bc of the cost to replace the bigger tires. Trying to keep it under 250 with everything but first month rolled up. 90% of driving would be a 13 mile each way trip for commuting so would be looking to get as little gas consumption as possible then. And would only be using level 1 driveway charging from standard
Outlet.
Maybe in Jan there will be new programs and dealers will come to senses. Thereās no way they can eat thousands of these on lots for a 2nd/3rd calendar year at some point, right? Right?
