(I know there is a dedicated topic for this, but since I have already been posting here and peeps are interested and getting less than decent quotes from dealers- mods LMK if this isn’t OK)
This sounds crazy since I just got the car a couple weeks ago, but I am thinking about seeing if anyone wants to take over my lease. 95% of the roads, drive is very smooth. But on some rough roads, the suspension noise really bothers my wife. It doesn’t bother anyone else including myself- really just sounds like regular road noise from any given car- Ioniqs might have ruined her cuz they are so good.
I like the car a lot and it is so much cheaper for me to insure than my $55k Ioniq 5, so it seems crazy; however my wife thinks I just jumped into buying this without considering her and it is causing some unnecessary tension. Additionally, my son wants to buy a Miata, and my wife told him we need to get rid of one of the five cars in our household first, so maybe I just need to say bye to ZDX.
Anyhow, car is the white with white interior. About 420ish miles on the odometer. Located in Huntington Beach, CA
Thanks, was considering the tire deflation and possible rebalance.
Higher music volume would just add to the wife’s misery.
Insurance: I am pretty much screwed until November b/c I have an injury accident on my record and AAA dropped me after 20 something years, and my wife’s policy now has me excluded. The only insurance I could get was Bristol West, and they are sticking it to me. I am only covered on two of our cars, so it only leaves me the option of driving out beater van with my wife. She is usually the one driving anyhow, so it really shouldn’t be this big of a deal
Kid is already driving my Ioniq 5, which is way too nice already. Oh well. Wife, I tried!
Seems like my wife is coming around b/c no one else really notices anything too bad. So she has accepted that it is her and willing to give it another go…
