All VSCs are cancelable under California Civil Code Section 1794.41. The obligor must give you a full refund of the VSC purchase price if you meet all of the following requirements:
You cancel the VSC within 60 days after receiving the contract, or 30 days if your car is used and came without a manufacturer warranty.
You send your cancellation notice as specified in the VSC.
You have not filed a claim with the dealer or VSCP.(If you have filed a claim, you may still cancel, but you will only receive a partial refund. The obligor may keep some of the purchase price based on the elapsed time or mileage, as specified in the VSC.)
You are entitled to a partial refund if you cancel after either 60 or 30 days (whichever is applicable) regardless of whether you have filed a claim. The obligor may keep some of the premium based on the elapsed time or mileage, as specified in the VSC. The obligor may also keep a fee of up to $25.00 or 10% of the premium, whichever is less.
If a VSCP or dealer is not honoring the cancellation and refund sections of the contract, then contact the insurance company listed on the VSC. If the insurance company does not resolve the problem, then contact the CDI.
Iād have the car checked out by a dealer. Some ZDXs have been known to have early battery failures. See if the motors are working to cover for that or anything along those lines.
I believe the dealers can use the back end dealer cash to cover the DAS portion. The AWD A Spec has 25,850 in total rebates/incentives (for this region) if you include loyalty/conquest. Only 11,500 is shown on the contract. The DAS was 2055 but you have to work backwards (I think) to see where the rest of that 14,350 in rebates goes. I assume the remaining 12,295 goes towards the cap cost reduction along with a decent dealer discount off msrp (If Iām looking at this right maybe 6-7%)
Still makes no sense as they would normally use the dealer cash to discount the car deeper. Why fudge with the contract and show DAS and not collect any?
Yeah, I know the difference between DAS and down payment. I had told them I wanted to pay nothing upfront, so not even sure how that worked out. Didnāt even have to pay the first payment, and I believe the contract showed that was to be paid
Update on the noise- there is definitely some extra motor hum when in sport mode. Normal mode, it seems to go away. But the other noise just seems to be excessive vibration from the road, like the suspension has a bit to be desired, and unfortunately, this is bad enough for my wife to not want to go in this car. On a smooth freeway or road, this is not an issue.
And the pedestrian warning system- that isnāt root of the noise complaint, but it is definitely extra compared to other EVs- wish the volume could be turned down. Maybe I can locate the speaker and cover it or somethingā¦
