Signed: '24 Dodge Hornet RT Plus | MSRP $52,180 | 24/10 | $96.68/mo $96.68 DAS (DEAL IS DEAD - NO MORE INVENTORY)

** ALL: The dealer is out of stock. Please don’t reach out to me anymore on this deal. I’m not a broker, just a guy who knows a guy who had some cars  . If you want to look at the contract to see if you can replicate it at your own dealer, it’s in the SIGNED section. **

First, this is my third LeaseHackr deal, but my first since 2020. This just might be better than the other two.

Thanks to the help of other LeaseHackrs here over the past couple of weeks, I negotiated this deal on a 2024 Loaner with ~3400 miles. Here are more specifics:

Color: Steele Blue
Packages: RT Blacktop and Track Package
MSRP: $52,180
RV: $34,123 61.6% (reduced from 63% due to loaner mileage)
SP before incentives: $42,000
Incentives:

  • EV Rebate: $6,500
  • Dodge Days: $ 500
  • Dodge Site Private TDM: $1,250

Acq Fee: $ 995
Dealer Fee: $ 0 (waived, normally $1063)
GA TAVT & Fees ~$ 200

MF: 0.00013

I’ll post the contract this weekend.

Now here’s the good news. This dealer has some more demos and non-demos including a few GTs and a lot of R/T Pluses. And he is willing to make deals close to this one. Don’t expect to get the Dealer Fee waived, but everything else is possible, and some of the others have less equipment.

Just to avoid him being bombarded, please DM me with your name, phone, and email if you’re interested and I’ll make the introduction. This is a small town dealer in Georgia, and they are new to leasing, but they need to get rid of these cars, so if you’re ready to buy and get an amazing deal, LMK.

Nice deal… how were you able to get $1250 on the Dodge site? I’m only seeing $1000.

I got it in mid March I think after signing up for the Dodge newsletter popup. They emailed it to me after about a week.

Message sent. I’m also only seeing $1,000 and it appears to exclude the 2024 Hornet R/T.

Hi, i am curious to know how much this will cost in texas given that we get taxed on the sales price of the car. Also does the dealer even do out of state ? Thank you

Take out the GA TAVT line item, then run the scenario in the calculator with TX tax. I don’t think they have an OOS restriction

Yeah I lucked out on this one as it’s not the normal one that pops up on the site; it got emailed to be random after about a week after signing up for the Dodge newsletter popup.

You might see if they will take the TrueCar TDM that includes the RT but doesn’t include leases. Some other forum members have had luck getting those accepted for a lease.

Is there an easy way to trigger a TrueCar TMD offer?

I talked to the dealership today. I’m in Florida, they took my address and said they would get back to me on Monday with the numbers. I’ll keep y’all updated. Hope it works out, my insurance said it would be $55 a month to add to my current plan

Contract uploaded. Numbers changed slightly from $110.81 to $114.82 due to an accounting error. Difference was ~$100 for the term so I didn’t cause too much of a fuss.

Did they get back to you?

They originally said it was a one pay for $3900. I gave them a TDM coupon from the dodge website, they lowered the price to $2900 for 24 months, 10K a year. That is on a non loaner car with a $53K msrp. Pretty sure I’m going to go for it. It’s $121 a month. They said it might be possible to get a lower price on a lower msrp model.

Nice Ned! That’s a better deal than I got, since mine was a loaner. This must be the Red/Red with Tech that they had. I thought hard about that one, but really wanted the Steele Blue.

Well done!

message sent, thanks!

I tried to replicate a hornet r/t deals. I wasn’t being nearly as aggressive - hioping to be in the mid to upper 100 all-in. To keep things simple, I said all we need is the capitalized cost, the money factor, and the residual and the monthly pops out (they started with the “interview” on what I wanted to spend, etc - I cut that off immediately).

Dealership at first thought I made up the money factor and residual and claimed it would take 400-600 a month to get into the hornet (was very hard to keep a straight face).

They then verified the MF and residual so I tried to explain to them just their advertised price on their web-site with those parameters would create a $250/month plus tax lease. They said that price was only for a purchase.

Finally, the finance guy took his calculator with the maximum discount I was targetting and then the incentive creating a capitalized cost of around 35K on ~ 52K MSRP. I said great, plug that in, and I will take it as my quick calculations in my head put that around $130 a month plus tax. I think he realized he “screwed up” because they were about to offer me a better deal than I asked for. He tried to come up with some story about how I was wrong, didn’t know what I was talking about with residuals (honestly I couldn’t figure out what they were saying). I think they were trying to claim residual was based on the discounted price, not MSRP. Never figured it out because the finance guy abuptly kicked me out and said we wiill never reach a deal.

Also, he questioned where I was seieng these deals . My usual reply is I use edmunds, truecar, similar sites, and even the dealers themselves to determine MF, residuals, incentives, etc. He tried claiming he sees false claims all the time even from deals they have made because the customer is actually embarrassed by what they actually paid (which is a bizarre statement when you think about it - as I walked out I questioned whether their goal was to embarrass their customers :-).

you wouldn’t believe how many dealers I called and their sales managers said “son, if I could get a Hornet for that price, I’d have them lined in my own driveway. You ain’t gonna be payin’ that price nowhere”.

First time ever buying at a Stellantis dealer; I guess they’re not…nevermind..

Ive been diligently trying to negotiate a Hornet/Tonale lease this entire month thus far and its been a total sh!tshow. Dealers wont discount 2024’s more than 10%, not even on loaners with 4k miles, all over 400 days sitting on dealer lots. They ALL are adding “dealer protection pkg” for $2k-$3k and tell me its non-negotiable. None will let me speak directly to finance manager or sales manager and the salespeople are beyond clueless, not up to date on any of the incentives, the age of their inventory, etc. Man this has been frustrating and exhausting thus far. No wonder there’s so many 2024’s still out there. One dealer still had a “new” 2023 Hornet GT Plus he offered me for a whopping 10% off MSRP.

FYI to all those trying to replicate, Dodge website coupon is now $1,000, not $1250 and also says it only applies to GT and GT Plus, NOT the R/T models.

Also, RV is NOT 63%, its 53% for the 2024 RT Plus models for 24/10.
