Signed: 23 Ford Lightning XLT SR - $58,690 - 36/7.5 - $298/mo $2000/DAS

Shoutout to @Teghogh whose similar CA deal was the inspiration here. Vehicle was registered in NJ, but the dealer is out of state. It was the very first lightning they sold. No longer sharing dealer info as the rebate stack is to variable.

MSRP: $58,690
Discount: $6500
Purchase Price: $52,190
DMV Fee: $602
Doc Fee: $499
Acq Fee: $645
Rebates: $8250 ($4250 bonus cash, $4000 TDM private offer)
Net Cap Cost: $45,984
RV 57%
MF 0.00007
DAS: $2,000
Payment: $298 ($345 effective)
LH Score: 14.2

It’s equipped with the standard 98kwh battery pack and includes the pro power and mobile charger options. As an extra vehicle, I am not too concerned with its expected terrible range. The DMV fees are high, it’s an out of state purchase and they are processing with RegUsa. This was the closest I got to my target, across the 20+ dealers I contacted within 200 miles of NJ. Combining the $4K private offer, no sales tax and completing prior to the NJ registration increase seemed like a good move. Lease is with Ford Credit, it’s a special sub-vented program good until end of month. Ford no longer includes any free charging with leases. You can request a free NACS to CCS adapter, but wait time is about 4 months.

Daym! well done.

Is this ford Motor credit? What’s the private offer?

Fords typically leases horribly so yes this is definitely a solid deal, particularly for the lightning

How did you get the TDM? Is it like Jeep where you can generate one by building a vehicle online?

Yes

I know of no sure-fire way to get the Ford TDM. I do believe that building a vehicle on the Ford website, in a private browser, and completing, all the way through to submitting your contact information, can get you into the TDM queue. However, it’s not instant, like Jeep. Best case, you get in on next month’s offer.

A few years ago I was able to get the Ford PCO link (it was $3000) back then to popup automatically almost on command. Primarily from continually browsing the edmunds forum and ford.com searching different aspects of the vehicle. With the link, there was a way to “hack” it so it could be passed on to others to sign up for it. There was a frenzy for a few weeks once someone told me how to do it. [Havent had one popup in years from Ford though.]

Does Ford offer X Plan on these? I wonder if that can stack with anything else?

There is no X-plan incentive this month, but there was X-plan cash a month or two ago, when @Kellstar scored a deal. Otherwise, the $6500 discount is already greater than the X-plan price. I offered them my pin, but they did not want it.

Solid! I’m trying to work out a Lariat deal but cannot get a private offer, ugh.

You are welcome. Our deal is easier to replicate in East coast where these trucks don’t have as though of a demand as SoCal due to winter and range issues. But I truly love the truck,to the point that it has made my Audi etron GT obsolete and that comes from a previous owner of ford f150 raptor, Bronco raptor, and trx. By far the most practical, fun, economical family hauler I have ever owned. And the avalanche color ain’t bad either

Awesome guys, congrats. I need to see if I can do this here in TN too. Would love to replace my wife’s X with a lightning. Probably would be an easy sell too since she’s over these finicky falcon doors.

And that deal was also pure luck with dealer doing $10k DD, Ford giving $7500+ X-Plan rebate on top of the POS tax credit. The balloon “residual” even dropped 2 days after I signed. I don’t think your deal can even be matched now with AFGs residuals.

The only part I don’t get is why you cheaped out over 1 extra percent residual (600 over 3 years) to get 50% more mileage per year :joy:. To be honest I was going to do that as well but I figured if I decide to do a lease transfer it would be harder to sell

I’ve got more than one vehicle to spread mileage across, so I look at my mileage as more of an aggregate allowance.
