Just did my first ever deal alone with this lease on a 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 Prestige EV in Southern California.

Technically not $0 DAS, but $730.33 paid at signing covered my first (prorated) month’s payment — no cap cost reduction, no extras. After that, I’m paying 23 monthly payments of $788.44. Lease started 3/22.

I also rolled in Excess Wear & Tear protection, which waives up to $5,000 in damage at lease-end. I got suckered into this. My fault.

Deal Breakdown:

MSRP: $76,550

Cap Cost: $57,736.84 (includes Excess Wear & Tear coverage)

Residual: $46,023 (60.14%)

Money Factor: 0.00249

Monthly Payment (incl. tax): $788.44

Lease Term: 24 months / 12,000 miles per year

Rebate/Incentive: $17,500

Drive-Off Paid: $730.33 (first payment only — no fees, no CCR)

Effective Monthly: $788.44

Leasehackr Score: 8.1

Region: Southern California

Included Coverage & Perks:

3yr/36k Complimentary Maintenance

5yr/60k Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty

10yr/100k Powertrain & EV Battery Warranty

5yr Unlimited-Mile Roadside Assistance

Excess Wear & Tear Protection (waives up to $5,000, rolled into lease)

Dealer was fair — small MF bump from the original worksheet (0.00221 → 0.00249), but they honored all numbers and gave me the full $17.5k incentive. How did I do? Felt like I could probably gotten $80/month better if I waited and really tried. Suckered myself into an excess wear and tear but honestly for tire scuffs and interior that’s worth it to me.
But overall, I love this freaking car. I dig the white on white with red tail lights but I was originally going for silver.

I really like this car but the 200 miles range is a no go for me.

It’s not baked in. It’s coming out of your pocket. Waste of money on a typical lease IMO and complete waste on a 24m lease. See if you can cancel it and get some money back.

Otherwise congrats on the new ride and enjoy it

Part you’re missing/need to analyze is what was your selling price before rebates. I would just enjoy the car and study up next time.

Original sticker was 76,650, so ~5195 discount

Cool not sure of the market on these but doesn’t seem bad. Unless you beat the crap out of your cars the odds of you being charged more than a couple hundred bucks upon turn in are low. Any major damage is likely not even covered and even if it is are you really going to drive around with it until the end on your nice car. I’m with @max_g if it were me I would see if I could cancel.

Thanks for the feedback, spoke with the dealer and they will refund me at the end of lease. So still having it rolled into the monthly with MF but at least that knocked off 737 from my out the door cost

All products are cancelable for at least 30? Days in California. Please cancel it. Unless you have it in writing never heard of a refund at the end of a lease. That’s like buying an extended warranty and expecting a refund if you don’t use it. That’s not how they make money …

Correct! Look up cancellation of VSC per CA Civil Code.

Wear and tear is worth it if you frequently get dings, dents windshield chips or scratches on your car and rims. Anything major you would obv be liable and want to avoid that at all costs but I’m in NY and Lease end repair usually helps keep your money in your pocket at the end..

I am looking into this exact vehicle. Can you be more specific in what you mean by “part that you’re missing/need to analyze is what was your selling price before rebates”?

Simply know what rebates you qualify for. Then try to understand what an achievable beaker discount is before rebates.

For example someone might think they did amazing getting 10k off MSRP but in reality all they got was 10k in rebates they qualified for.

That’s not how refunds work. Especially not on products that are only 100% refundable within 30 days and prorated thereafter.

Wow, great deal!
Im working on a GV70 electric advanced. 24mo/12k mi and they want $850 a month with zero down.
I think I might walk away.

Genesis are impossible to deal with right now. Not worth your time. Been down this road for a few weeks now

That’s sad…

With all the GV60’s 13-month leases getting close to maturity in the next couple months, they won’t get a lot of recurring customers.

Nope. They’re sitting on their lots right now. OEM not offering any incentives on 2026s and they’re hoarding their 25’s like toilet paper during Covid.

are you talking about the GV60s or GV70s? Is $65 a month more than the deal bmgenesisgvw705 got worth walking away over?

Im talking about GV70’s but the full lineup as a whole is being treated like a commodity by the dealers right now.

$65 dollars to me is not $65 dollars to you. I can’t decide for your financials if that’s worth walking away over. It’s roughly an extra $1600 out of your pocket when all added up
