Signed: 2025 Cadillac Optiq Luxury 1 Loaner, 24/12k, One Pay $5250

I have been eyeing Lyriqs and Optiqs since probably around July/August since I saw they were leasing quite well, and knowing that GM was still providing an enhanced residual of $6500-7500 until the end of this month, was able to finally nab one today!

Hopefully you guys will have luck finding one before the end of October!

2025 Cadillac Optiq Luxury 1, loaner with 3874 miles

MSRP: $58140

Incentives: $2000 EV conquest, $2000 retired loaner, $500 GM educator, $500 GM Rewards Card. They also tacked on an additional $1000 somehow for a total of $6000 in incentives

Final Agreed Upon Sales Price: $51810 (11% off MSRP, higher than what I’ve seen in other deals for these but this loaner did also have more miles on it)

Residual Value: $45841.85 (79%) - this is $5724.85 higher than Leasehackr calculator’s predicted $40,117 (69%) residual, so not sure how they got to this number or if the calculator is slightly off or the MSRP changed without me knowing

Total DAS: $5250.08 ($2500 used on GM rewards card, $2750.08 on my debit card)

Post-Rebate Incentive: going to apply for $1000 used EV rebate from PG&E which seems like someone else from California was able to get successfully

Here’s a link to the prior thread I made discussing how I was planning to make an offer for this vehicle, and it includes some similar deals I saw on Signed! Is this a reasonable offer to make for a Cadillac Optiq Loaner? - Ask the Hackrs - Leasehackr Forum

I didn’t go the Cadillac website route that so many people have been doing to find good loaners/retired CTA vehicles within 2000 miles. I know there are dealers willing to ship but it just seemed like too much hassle for me and the two times I called for out-of-state Lyriqs last month I wasn’t able to make it happen. Instead I just went on Google Maps and found all the dealers within a driving distance from myself, went through all their inventories and specifically looked for any loaners they might have. This loaner with 3874 miles caught my eye, so yesterday I called their sales department and asked if it was available and if I could text them an offer. Here’s some photos of the conversation in case it might be helpful in showing you guys how I did it/worded my offer.

There were a couple of snafus - they initially told me it had 6000 miles so I made my offer based on that, then they all of a sudden said it was 3874. I didn’t budge and just kept my offer the same lol. Then when I got there, they accidentally put the contract as 24/10k. Was a little worried they were going to pull a fast one on me and ask me to pay more for the 12k miles, but the sales manager came in and apologized for the mistake and fixed it without any issues which was great. I also took some feedback that I made on my prior lease offer attempt (Getting No Response From Dealers - Is My Offer Too Aggressive? - Ask the Hackrs - Leasehackr Forum) that I was too nice in my messaging - this time I tried to just be a little bit more direct. Overall from first contacting them yesterday afternoon to driving the car off their lot took just about 24 hours.

There is some discussion on how the enhanced residual is being calculated in the other thread I linked above if you are interested. Still not totally sure how the numbers 100% worked out but they got to the number I wanted and we made a deal!

Congrats @conaanaa on your new ride.

Great job!!!

I do almost all my deals the same way

A lot of dealers to texts with, but we need only one to accept our offer.

The residual calculation is as follows:

MSRP x the listed residual on rate findr.

Then add 6500 to that number to get the residual.

New % is:

Number above / MSRP

is the $6500 on all GM vehicles?

I am not sure but I think on all the EVs

Thank you so much

Did the enhanced residual expired on 10/31 or was it extended to 11/03

I had two dealers tell me expired 10/31

10/31 is what I’m hearing too.

Expired

Expired at 8:55pm on 10/31. My deal didn’t make the deadline lol

Thanks guys. I was hoping that it will continue and expire on 11/03 along with other incentives.

Yeah it’s weird, the dealer I was working with still has a banner up with a countdown for the 3rd.
