My $562 a month EQS lease ends next month and the EV6 GT deal someone else got for $330 caught my attention. I’ve talked to at least 15 dealers over the last 6 weeks and the closest I could get was $420. I got a call on Monday from a dealer that I spoke to a couple weeks ago saying they needed to move this car and they offered me the $299 price, I almost thought it was a joke. Said yes right away.
Tried to get the calculator to work but couldn’t get the numbers to line up. Only thing due at signing was the first month’s payment. Pre-tax came out to $280 a month. Post tax comes out to $299.94 a month. Super happy with this deal, this is a ton of car for this money. And no, unfortunately they don’t have any others left.
This is the exact same deal I had to walk away from two weeks ago (when I realized there’s no way I can get rid of my Wrangler 4xe without losing my shirt). A white one in MA. They sold it immediately after I got my deposit back. If you can find a 2023, there are dealers motivated to practically give them away. Congrats on the ride. And yes they are fast as hell.
I might have been the person who picked it up after you . Looks like I left some meat on the bone if you had this deal lined up! I added the wheel and tire protection which added a bit to the bottom line.
Congrats on the blue GT! Love the color. I picked up the white one mentioned above. Most MA dealers weren’t willing to move on the price but recently I’m getting a bunch of texts/emails on the remaining ‘23s.
I think they might have used some dealer cash they had available. My salesman said something about starting to lose incentives for the 2023s after this month. Don’t know how true it is but it would make sense for why they let it go at that price. I live in South Florida and most of the Florida dealers don’t want to budge. I got this from a dealer in NC.
I don’t mean to highjack the thread and detract from the amazing deal here but I can confirm that dealers have flex cash. The deal I signed had the $11500 of lease cash plus another $2250 in flex cash. I didn’t qualify for the loyalty or military rebates.
Do any of the more experienced hackers notice that dealers are more motiviated to highly discount the 2023 models? I’m looking at some for a different make/model but there aren’t any lease incentives for the 2023s like there are for the 2024s.
If the manufacturer ends support for leases on a model year, it is going to be difficult to lease the car (I say difficult because you could lease through a bank but that is much more complicated and usually much more expensive).
First, I’d recommend checking the Edmunds forums for current lease offers on a particular model along with the money factor and residual. If the manufacturer is still supporting leasing, they will confirm the numbers.
As far as discounting a 2023 vs. 2024, dealers may discount a 2023 more but the overall lease will depend on the lease cash and the residual value. Remember, a car that is a model year older will likely have a lower residual but higher incentives/ lease cash to counter the lower residual. I’ve leased a couple Hyundais and Kias and the dealerships are usually willing to discount a previous model year if they are still supporting a lease and especially if the lease programs are about to end.
The incentives on the 2023 EV6 seem to run through June, which makes perfect sense that during this deal, the dealer mentioned that lease support is ending soon. You have to keep in mind that they have the 2025’s knocking at the door so they definitely do not want a 2023 on the lot.
Again, I don’t want to derail the thread as this deal is absolutely incredible compared to the numbers I was getting in MA. Just trying to help a bit!
Also looking for copy of lease doc! Currently battling a stonewalling dealer on the east coast for the same car… Also posting in signed deal copies would work as well. Thx!
